Fortunately I read this knowing how much Filipinos love their Friendster, and thus not wonder why in this day and age someone is still posting reasons to join Facebook. In fact The Philly is Friendster’s last bastion left on earth.

Facebook and Myspace is quite possibly one of the biggest wastes of life ever. Look you can socialize without ever going outside. You can even meet molesters if you are lucky!

Reasons not to join Facebook:
1. Socializing with real people will get you somewhere.
2. Youll probably end up giving your adress somehow, so unless you like having molesters at your doorstep…
3. If you find yourself with like 2000 friends on facebook, youll find yourself with 2 friends in real life, and those 2 both have over 3000.

Lol, I’ve got soo many real friends in facebook, but yeah you’re right, a thousand friends in FB are not REALLY your true friends, just few.
But no one forces anyone to join, if you want to join, just join, no one stops you anyway. ^^

Don’t dis it til you try it. I once shared these negative attitudes. But then I found I might meet some random people, perhaps friends of friends, who I wouldn’t normally make contact with in real life. Lacking another way to keep track of, and receive notifications from them any other way, because honestly who calls or writes to every single person they know individually? Especially if you just met them.
So I got on facebook. I added everyone I knew with facebook, and that was it. Then, when I met other people who I probably wouldn’t see for a while, I’d get their facebook. So far no shifty characters have appeared at my door, or anywhere on my profile at all for that matter. Facebook isn’t for people who have no friends in real life, and need to find some on the internet (thats myspace :P), facebook is for people who have friends in real life and need to find them on the internet.
So, think about it. Is the reason you don’t have facebook because you aren’t a friend mongering twat, or because you don’t actually have enough friends to warrant it?

I have a hi5 but i remembered that after reading this topic i left that kind of things like when i had 14? (im 18 now), and now came de fb fever that’s almost the same, there will be people who really supports it, but i think time is just precius for waisting the time on it, I think for socialising with people that you will actually socialise is msn messenger, a lot more useful, because for most people (the ones I know the most, do not get offended), they use them to upload photos like “this is me with my new boyfriend <>, this is me with my new boyfriend again kissing each other
aren’t we cute?!” n u stay like “why i am staring at this, again?” and kind of that thing for “normal” people it’s to show you have perfectly normal happy life, i think i speak for the users of all this pages saying this “we don’t care!”, and for the emo’s it was made for them to post their emo drawings, phrases etc, that only will make you have an stomachache.
But it isn’t all bad, it have some uses to like:
-You don’t need an actual photo in your possesion of the person you will get rid by paying an hired assasin to kill him/her.Just gave him his face book.
-If you wanna photshop your friend’s face in a hot sexi girl photo, and the paste it lot of copies in every class on university.
-Or simply confirm if your friend nw chick is hot or not
