The new “watchers” for nerubian is kinda insane if you think about it.. Pretty nice ambushes you can create with a wall of scarabs suddenly appearing! This is gonna be awesome lol

July 7th, 2009 at 10:58 am
x d lol
weavers watchers seem to be pretty imba huh?
July 7th, 2009 at 5:56 pm
Alas for TC: The frog seems to love the bat-rider more! The scarabs are of the same model as old Pudge’s carrion beetles, and these are way better than the old watchers with that super 1400 sight and a decent MS..

humm..2 from the looks of things this map seems more balanced, TC got nerf pretty bad
July 7th, 2009 at 9:18 pm
but gives very little sight range. 400. not imba IMO
July 8th, 2009 at 1:38 am

Wow, yeah, Batrider needed a strength nerf alright. Forget guys like Tiny that tear people apart if they get close get idiotic with a blink dagger, we need to change the Watchers. Ursa’s only good up close but that’s his thing, it’s a good thing there’s no item in the game that gives him invisibility otherwise he might be able to kill anyone of equal skill and level outright. PL was broken to begin with at endgame, let’s make sure Bloodseeker stands 0 chance now and let PL REALLY carry the entire team single handedly. Magnataur’s reverse polarity was killing so many people with it’s pull and stun as opposed to a well played Lich that basically says “Don’t ever go in a group of more than 1″ and then does nothing but hunt in a group of 5- let’s not look at basic design flaws like that, let’s do needless math balances and reduce the base stats on heros in an attempt to “balance” them.

I really don’t like the idea of losing the watchers. Following targets and patrolling the woods were very important.

cool map like it….bat rider….not cool!!!!
July 10th, 2009 at 2:23 am
At Last!!!! They’re not IMBA!!!
July 10th, 2009 at 7:43 am
What? no update to 6.61b? (not really important just some bug fixes)
as for Weaver, I do miss the old watchers, the new ones now have abilities, but have much lowered sight when burrowed so they don’t work as well as mobile wards, sure the hp buff and magic immunity does help against radiance, so in a competitive environment where map control is key, this is a nerf, granted that the pros will have excellent micro skills and be able to use the silence well, but it will still be a nerf to map control
it seems that the Frog is really trying to make the wards more important, reducing the limit to 2 per 6 min, nerfing vision of Sentries (making it harder to find Obs), nerfing other map control abilities such as Eyes and Watchers (both nerfing the skills and introducing more ways to kill trees)
and the Batrider isn’t that imba, since he has a pretty crappy range and Flamebreak is an easy thing to dodge, also it takes time to stack napalm and you can see it happening if you are smart, that being said his base dmg was wayyyy to high for a ranged int hero
