ACG 2009 Philippine Representative

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

It’s official. Team Flow, Philippine representative to the Asian Cyber Games 2006 and 2007, is the 2009 Philippine representative. Team Flow is composed of Arby Ng, Marvin Tan, Jojo Uy, Bryan Ang, and Vinzyre Villeguez. The famed Team Flow has been a force to reckon with since they burst out into the DotA scene more than four years ago.

In 2006, they won the local qualifiers against veterans 129. Flow represented the Philippines in the Asian Cyber Games in Singapore but lost to the eventual champions. In 2007, Flow decimated Ninja in the local qualifiers and represented the Philippines once again. That year, Flow gave the Philippines it’s first ACG medal as the team finished 3rd place.

World GameMaster Tournament Davao Day 2

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

Day 2 of the Davao Leg of the World GameMaster Tournament proved to be a short but exciting one with six teams playing to be declared the best. It was held last September 21, 2008 at BoyzTrek Cafe.

Counterstrike
DC Clan arrived early and won via default over Saging Lang Ang May Puso to get the twice to beat advantage in the Finals Round. Saging Lang Ang May Puso lost a close fight with Losers’ Bracket winner Bratz.X02. In the finals, DC Clan easily won in one match over Bratz.X02.

The famed DC Clan, composed of leader Timothy Zachary “Shaggy” Te, Arnold John Reyes, Alvin Sinco, Eric John Villasor, and Tristan James Aquino, is finally flying to Manila to represent Davao in a Counterstrike Tournament. DC Clan has been the top CS team in Davao City and one of the most popular in Mindanao. They have won numerous local tournaments and was the Mindanao representative to the WCG three years ago. The Shaggy - Duke tandem is already considered a legend in the gaming scene here. Unfortunately, Duke has decided to prioritize DotA for this tournament. Nonetheless, his mere presence in the gaming arena gave DC Clan a much needed confidence boost. Along with the cash prize, the team is going to the finals in SM Marikina on September together with team Bratz.X02 to represent Davao City.
