Last Saturday, September 29, 2007, the best teams in Metro Manila converged at the Mall of Asia to fight for the right to be declared as the TSEI DotA Tournament Champions. Top seed Mineski was beaten by Philippines’ ACG representatives Team Flow during the quarterfinals. Teams Papi, Alchemy, and Pacific joined Flow in the semi-finals. Papi lost to Alchemy, while Pacific lost to Flow.

Before the Final Round was played, Flow and Alchemy already agreed to split the combined and first and second place pots with each team taking home PhP20,000 no matter what the outcome of the finals match will be. For the finals match, Flow picked Lina Inverse, Pudge, Rexxar, Akasha, and Razor as their heroes, while Alchemy had Abbadon, Pugna, Mirana, Puck and Sand King. Both teams enjoyed the final game, but it was Flow that won the game and officially declared as the tournament champions.

BoyzTrek 3: The Blood Clash

Meanwhile, during the BoyzTrek 3: Blood Clash Tournament last Sunday, September 30, 2007, here in Davao City, Team Ch¡LL asserted their might as the top team in Davao City.

Only nine brave teams dared to fight. These nine were divided into three brackets, with the teams in each bracket playing a single round robin round. The teams with the best record in each bracket then proceeded to the Finals Round. Predictably, Teams Ch¡LL and CORPOration dominated brackets C and A, respectively. Ch¡LL effortlessly eliminated Teams PusSy and Rax, while CORPO beat Saint and Axis.

In bracket B, Team Strife of Kidapawan City struggled to stay afloat. Although they beat Partey after almost two hours of playing, they were easily bullied by Team GO, the Underdogs Champion. Team GO also won over Partey, giving them the chance to battle against Ch¡LL and CORPO in the Finals.

Ch¡LL

Ch¡LL, CORPO, and GO played a single round robin against each other. Ch¡LL both their matches, while CORPO one match against GO. Ch¡LL emerged as the days Champion while CORPO and GO went home with the second and third prizes, respectively.
