It has begun!

The 2008 Davao Cyber Games has commenced yesterday with thrilling elimination games at four cafes, the most popular among which is BoyzTrek.

There were four teams fighting to get the two slots to the finals. The four teams were DC Clan, High, Family Values, and Nomets. It was one intense round of eliminations with Family Values facing Nomets, and DC Clan facing High.

Family Values: Phamboi, Jade, James, Wheng
The Nomets and Family Values match was declared a GG in under 30 minutes. Predictably, Nomets, this year’s most competitive team, won.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the cafe, DC Clan showed a strong start to end game. But the Clan faltered when High executed one big push to detroy the middle entrance of the base, killing all five DC Clan heroes, and proceeding to destroy the Ancient in one swift, action-packed move.

They are now waiting for the results of the July 1 eliminations, and will face the winners of the eliminations in other participating cafes. The finals will be held during the Davao Cyber Expo 2008 at the NCCC Mall of Davao on July 4 - 6, 2008.
