DotA 6.60 Map Leaks and Eventual Release

Based on my estimates that could occur in 2-7 days from now. What is *really* getting me pumped are the sweeping changes Icefrog mentioned in his blog post:
Here is a list of a few of the things to expect in 6.60. There will be many new items (at least 5) and improvements or remakes to current items. You can also expect lots of ability changes on old heroes, a couple hero remakes and a new hero or two. A new regeneration system for structures will be active only when they are attacked without creeps/corpses nearby (more detailed infomation on the mechanics for this in the changelog).
Let’s put that into perspective. So we’re going to have *at least* 5 new items. That’s a LOT, really. I’ve been reading around other sites on what these items *could* be (based on the leaked maps), and this is what I found out:
Ghost Scepter - formerly Pipe of Khandahar. Turns your hero into a ghost that is unable to attack, but can cast spells.
Talisman of Evasion - gives 25% chance of evasion.
Magic Wand - upgrade for Magic Stick with added stats (+3 to all attributes).
Force Staff - gives hero active ability to push back enemy 500 units depending on where he/she is facing (+10 int, +10 damage, +10 aspd).
Quelling Blade - gives heroes 36%/12% (meleee/ranged) bonus damage against creeps.
The Leveller - an upgraded version of Quelling Blade with added stats.
Pipe of Khandahar - yes, that other item now known as Ghost Scepter is a new item that gives heroes the ability to block magic damage.
Poor Man’s Shield - gives heroes 100% chance to block 25 damage.
Okay, that’s 8 items. Expect 1 or 2 that might not make it into the final release.
2 *NEW* Heroes
Batrider - Intelligence hero with spells such as:
Sticky Napalm - AoE debuff, affected units move slower and take more damage.
Firebreak - AoE nuke that can knock back enemy heroes.
Firefly - Ability to fly through cliffs and trees.
Flaming Lasso - The Batrider literally kidnaps enemy and takes him for a ride for a short duration.
Tauren Chieftain - Strength hero with these skills:
Great Stomp - AoE stun plus damage.
Ancestral Charge - A replica (or ancestor?) of you damages enemies on contact.
Natural Order - AoE passive that cause enemies’ base armor and base magic resistance to be disabled (wow).
Earth Splitter - Splits earth beneath enemies and damages them.
A slew of other changes such as hero remakes, item remakes, tavern orders, new stores and whatnot are also keeping the DotA community abuzz. I’ll talk about each of them in separate posts. In the meantime, tell us what you think about the new heroes and items! I’d love get some feedback.

WoW nice but i think the talisman of evasion will be gone because we allready have butterfly and radiance ……. and i think the talisman of evasion doesnt stack with evasion skills … … . . just like in the campaign of warcraft 3

talisman of evasion will stay.. when you combine it with eaglehorn and quarterstaff it becomes the butterfly. no recipe needed.. 1800 gold for 25% evasion?? not bad at all..

The leveller ain’t coming Ice said so him self as it is way too imbalanced. Not even in the latest beta.

Man i played the leaked one and Razor is COMPLETELY remade.. very cool but also the game crashes whenever he dies so they have to fix that lol. i dont like it. they killed a lot of items.. Diffusal blade is so lame now. no mana burn or images just random stats and attack etc..some cool new concepts…but 6.60 will have lots of criticism and i think it will be crap, however perhaps 6.60c or e or maybe eve 6.61 will be much better.

I also heard about the new tavern layouts. but this is actually the first time I’ve heard of those twinkiediddy new items.

Checked out the new map… I agree that some of the remade items are going to suck… NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY PRECIOUS DIFFUSAL BLADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve tried TAUREN CHIEFTAIN in the leatest beta and he is really interesting. I have some very important stuff to add about his skills, so if you’re interested, read:
- His stunning ability is channeling (for about 1 sec) and if interrupted will not take effect. Has a fairly good AOE, about 400-450 at least.
- That ghost ability creates a ghost that moves the opposite way Tauren does, and except the damage it inflicts to enemies it touches, it also does something else, something really cool: When Tauren uses his stun, the ghost will perform the stun too, and it won’t be fake!!!!!!
- His ulti has a large AOE, but is difficult to use effectively. He makes the ground in front of him start cracking. The ground crack expands farward and gradually reaches a long distance. It then explodes damaging and stunning enemies.
Needless to say, this hero is for experienced players and such heroes have major capabilities! If you are a pro, you can do amazing stuff with Tauren, but if you ‘re noob or newbie, you ‘ll do almost nothing. Just like with Admiral…

MKB holder is 100% no miss on attack..
means motred n butterfly user should care.. ^^

GUYS!!!!!!! Ok, the new Manta is different, but why the heck are you complaining about Diffusal?????
The new diffusal rocks, don’t you get it?? The item is just as it was! The only difference is that it can be upgraded once!!! And you have 8 charges for Purge, but when you upgrade the item they replenish!!!! How can you say that you don’t like this change???
About Manta, ok, maybe we’ll miss that orb effect that applied on it, but it now has different uses. I’m sure we’ll find out about them, so don’t just whin.
In addition, imagine having Diffusal+Manta, or Manta on Anti-mage!!!! It will be cool, won’t it???
