HI! I’m Drew’s cousin, Ria Jose aka Polar. I am the new blogger here at the DotaStrategy.com Blog. So why did Drew pick me? Because I’m a blogger and I love to write about DoTA, games, gaming, and gamers. In fact, I already have a gaming blog: Ria At Play.

I used to manage a DoTA All-Stars Team. Now, I am training under some of the best players in the city as part of my quest to be a competitive DoTA player. Meanwhile, I am content with being a co-organizer of some tournaments in the city. And I constantly watch and observe practice and match games among some of the best teams here.

My old gaming blog was born as an aftermath of the discussion about professionalizing gaming in Davao City. The discussion began during the Davao Cyber Expo 2007: Davao Cyber Games DoTA All-Stars Tournament. In that old blog, I wrote about match games I witnessed and the line-ups of heroes and strategies used in these games. I also talked about my personal DoTA experiences (yes, I play DoTA), as well as learnings and insights from informal discussions and interviews with other gamers. I also posted some announcements regarding local tournaments and gaming events.

So what can you expect from this blog now that I am here? Well, I will still be writing extensively about Davao Gaming Scene, specifically about DoTA match games and tournaments. I will also be featuring some local gamers and teams. Of course, I will try to expand my scope by covering and discussing regional, national, and international tournaments if I get the chance. I will also be blogging about other games and gaming news.
