New Team: Team PuSsy
Posted by polar on July 29th, 2007 | Visited 1681 times, 1 so far todayAnd so it begins today… for weeks now, the boys of Sequel Juan Luna (in Davao City) have been practicing, days AND nights. This time, the team wasn’t formed for the purpose of joining the tournament. These boys, my boys (and I’m proud to say that) are regular players at Sequel Juan Luna and they would regularly play over LAN against players and teams of the other Sequel branches (all Sequel branches are connected by LAN). Their consistent performance gave me the idea of motivating them to join the upcoming Kadayawan Tournament. And they realized their potential as a team.
Without much further ado, let me introduce…

These boys are the best of the Sequel Juan Luna. And I am terribly excited to watch them play their very first match game later. What makes this team different from my past Team RJ is that these boys actually know each other and each other’s game well enough. They trust each other and are open to criticism from each other. In fact, they are the only team I know who openly trashtalk each other more than they trashtalk their opponents. They’re that comfortable with each other. I have watched them play for several weeks and they have definitely improved a lot as individual players and as a team.
This afternoon’s match game is their first test as a team. And there will be an evaluation of their capabilities, skills, strategies, and toughness. Based from this match game, they will determine if they are battle-ready. For me, the goal this afternoon is not to win, but for them to show how determined they are. Because, for me, my basis for supporting a team is not just their skills or their record, but their determination to win.
So Team PuSsy… let’s get it on!!!
