Starcraft II and Diablo III: Most Anticipated PC Games

The people of Dotastrategy.com have spoken — Diablo III trounces Starcraft II as the community’s most anticipated Blizzard game. This is how you voted:
Diablo III 52% [ 1187 votes ]
Starcraft II 47% [ 1076 votes ]

Diablo pwned Starcraft by 111 votes. However, with a margin of error of +-5%, I call it a virtual tie. The poll indicates that both games have an astute following in the DotA/Warcraft demographic. The similarity in genre might have swayed the vote towards Diablo and put SC at a slight disadvantage (you know, mechs and all versus mystical beasts). How did I vote? I put my money on Diablo! Unfortunately for all of us, Blizzard’s been notoriously mum about the games’ release dates. Starcraft: Wings of Liberty may see the light of day in the middle of next year, at the earliest. And that’s just a rumor. Diablo may take a year or two longer. For now, we’ll have to do with those pesky (but awesome) cinematic trailers and previews to ease our pain.
Do you agree with how the poll went?

Both games look fantastic, and they are both blizzard so you really cant go wrong. Diablo III may beat SCII, but both games are on top of the video game world… cant wait!

Not much difference between the two, I’m sure everyone will pretty much play both once it’s released. And that makes 4 games in waiting for all of us?

Don’t forget Bloodline Champions.
I went for Diablo III being a hardcore Diablo II fan

@Rex: All polls have margins of error. Though it’s a virtual tie, Diablo still technically wins.
@migrees: If you look at all polls, not all the percentages equal 100%
@ghost: Looks cool! Can you write about it? (hint, hint)

Lol.. its really about the gameplay.. diablo is more of a single player game while starcraft is about warfare in terms of armies.. well.. based on experiences.. I also voted diablo

@Jak
When is starcraft 3 coming out ;P
And yes it is sadly… Its going 2 be called
“Terrans: Wings of Liberty”
“Zerg: Heart of the Swarm”
“Protoss: Legacy of the Void”
Quote:
Each campaign will be very different, with Pardo announcing the Zerg campaign will contain RPG elements. The Protoss campaign will likewise be differentiated by elements of diplomacy. In addition, the Terran campaign will feature a Protoss mini-campaign.
The campaigns are planned as concentrated, epic storylines, with enough content to justify a full release. As a result, the games will now feature more in-game cinematics and story content.
Blizzard added that the plans for the multiplayer component are unchanged by the splitting of the campaigns. However, some units will now be unique to the campaigns and will not be playable in multiplayer.
Pardo noted that the decision was necessary to maintain the quality of the product, the alternatives either being a long delay of the game, or a scaling back of the campaigns.

Its takin them severals just for Blizzard to have announced that D3 was in production but as i have been a D2 fan for 5 years or so, ive heard that blizzard said they halted production on d3 and were focusing more towards s3/s2 w/e u like to call it.
2005 was when d3 produciton was leaked but that was only a romour, atleast i think so. 2005-2012? d3 nice job Blizzard!
