Team Pussy vs No Name Match Games
Posted by polar on September 3rd, 2007 | Visited 2165 times, 1 so far todaySometime last week, Gerald “Aiwem” dela Cerna and Brylle “Bryl” Saso of Team PusSy faced off with their former teammates Brian “Nairb” Asis, Jaffet “Dirt” Dy, and Jay “Moreno” Bajao of Team No Name. All five were members of the ill-fated Team RJ (Ria Jose). After the break-up of Team RJ, these two teams were formed, and sparred with each other regularly to practice for tournaments and match games. During Day 1 of the Kadayawan DotA Tournament Eliminations, these two teams have already met, and No Name conquered Team PusSy in a thrilling emp to emp match. Last week, the two teams met, with Aiwem now leading the team. Team PusSy had original PusSy member, Elmer “jay cool” Mailwas and Shad “smily” Acosta on their side. Substituting for an absent player was PusSy pool member Royce Rufon. On the other side of the match, No Name brought with them Jimbers’ Gaming Cafe regulars Xian and Baby John. They played three games and followed the usual tournament rules in Davao City.
Game 1: -ap mode (All Pick)
Sentinel - No Name
Viper - Dirt - top left
Zeus - Nairb - bottom right
Tinker - Xian - middle
Bristleback - Moreno - top left
Leoric - John - bottom right
Scourge (first pick) - Team PusSy
Akasha - Aiwem - bottom right
Warlock - Royce - top left
Nevermore - Elmer - middle
Faceless Void - Shad - top left
Jakiro - Brylle bottom right
First Blood: Xian (Tinker) pawned Elmer’s (Nevermore) head in the middle lane 3 minutes into the game.
Royce (Warlock), who does not play competitive DotA struggled with his role as a support hero. This gave much headache to his lanemate Shad (Faceless Void). Moreover, Shad, being a trained support player, was not able to adjust well to the role of a hitter. 30 minutes into the game, No Name already had 17 kills, while PusSy only had 6. It was clearly a lopsided game, mostly due to the lack of experience and coordination on PusSy’s side. On the other hand, No Name showed experience by playing aggressively, harassing every time possible, and pushing hard consistently.
Winner: No Name
Game 2: -ap mode (All Pick)
Sentinel - Team PusSy
Viper - Elmer - top left
Venomancer - Brylle - bottom right
Rexxar - Aiwem - neutrals near the bottom right lane
Zeus - Shad - middle
Razor - Royce - bottom right
Scourge (first pick) - No Name
Sand King - Dirt - top left
Akasha - Moreno - top left
Nevermore - Nairb - middle
Tinker - Xian - bottom right
Nerubian Assassin - John - bottom right
First Blood: Royce (Razor) pawned John’s (Nerubian Assasin) head in the bottom right lane after 7 minutes of playing.
For the second game, PusSy leader Aiwem experimented with a new line-up. He put back Shad into a support role and gave the unexperienced Royce the role of an end gamer. And end the game he did. Royce ended up controlling the game. His inexperience crippled him a bit when it came to decision-making, but Aiwem and Bryl were able to guide him well.
Winner: Team PusSy
Game 3: -apdu (All Pick, Duplicate Heroes)
Sentinel - Team PusSy
Akasha - Brylle - bottom right
Raigor - Aiwem - bottom right
Zeus - Royce - middle
Faceless Void - Elmer - top left
Warlock - Shad - top left
Scourge - No Name
Akasha - Xian - top left
Viper - Dirt - middle
Venomancer - John - bottom right
Sand King - Moreno - bottom right
Zeus - Nairb - top left
Once again, the inexperience and lack of teamwork of PusSy caused their defeat to No Name.
Winner: No Name
