Last Saturday, Davao City DotA teams, players, and enthusiasts converged at Jimber’s Gaming Cafe to play and witness new threats emerge. Top 3 Davao City teams Ch¡LL, CORPOration, and Jimber’s 50ph were banned from the tournament, making way for the city’s lesser known stars to shine.

Out of the fifteen teams that joined, five teams reached the semi-final round:
Team DDS of Clickerz Obrero
Team Law of Sequel Sta Ana
Team 100$ (aka Team RJ) of Sequel Juan Luna and Jimber’s
Team Sugot Ka? of Hyper Bits and Bytes Jacinto
Team I Love You of Jimber’s

Team 100$ had a lucky pick and was given an outright finals slot. Meanwhile, Team DDS played against Sugot Ka?, while Team I Love You played against Team Law. Curiously, some players from DDS and Sugot Ka? have been practicing together as a team for quite some time before the two teams re-formed. Sugot Ka? won over DDS, while Law won the long battle over crowd favorite I Love You.

In the finals round, 100$ picked heroes poorly and suffered miserably against Sugot Ka?. In the second finals match, Sugot Ka? once again dominated over Law. In the fight for second place, Law fought a bitter battle against arch rival 100$. 100$ prevailed.

Sugot Ka? was declared as the day’s champions, garnering the rank of #4 top team in Davao City. 100$ was declared 1st runner-up, and garnered the rank of #5.
