The problem with this is that if you play with people it encourages kill steals and solo play, not team play being a individually ranked comp.

Hi my name is Alex and I am the creator of WinDota, I’ll try my best to answer any and all of your questions.
Please note that we were undergoing a major upgrade on our servers so if you experienced an incomplete site that is the reason. We are almost finished so please bear with us.

How many kills you get really doesn’t make a difference.
In fact the opposite is true, a player who is of less skill playing with higher skilled opponents will gain more experience and therefore will require teamwork to beat better opponents. Therefore playing solo and stealing kills is the absolute WORST thing a player could do.

Dear Sir,
I have a question regarding how you people at windota.com are going to match our groups with other groups at the same or similar level as ours? Will be going through friendlies or a trial run with the AI? Or are we going to be matched based on our Garena ranking? Thank you people for creating such a tournament though.

Hey there,
Obviously the system will not be able to match you up with groups of similar levels unless:
i) Players in both groups have played games on the system.
ii) There are enough players on the site for that to happen.
Once a party searches for the game the system will attempt to put that party with players of similar level or experience points. If that isn’t possible (there isn’t any or the population of the site isn’t high) then you will just jump into the next available game.

so, i have signed up and i was quite dissapointed. the system has features that seem a lot like the dotaleague system, which is fine… but the hosting of the games causes problems. everyone is rehosting. and it seems yet again, the best player is judged by its amount of time he is nerding dota, not about how much win he has.
a guy that plays 5 matches and wins 5, will still stand below a guy that has played 20 mathces and has won 6
i think there should be categories
