you just take a picture of it by using a high powered telescope

Hahah the second one DOES look pretty realistic :p .
I used a different style to create the stars, I used monochromatic noise. For the first I brushed and used clone stamps.

I agree that it looks fantastic. Now if somebody could make a picture of the aurora...

Create a lightwave, then shape it using the pen tool before giving it a light swirl.

Thanks for the tip..ill try it..psst, theres a shortcut :p Under brush settings theres one default in PS that is already an aurora.
