Invoker Item Build?

What do you guys suggest for Invoker?It would be better if you categorize the builds as public build and tournament build.

Public Build,

For me i get Treads (Str)
Helm of Dom Early, With your damage spec it really deals/heals alot of damage, then i go for a Skadi, its alot easyierr to kill with it, because, obviously there slowed! and with Invokers pathetic hp, much like an Agility heros, he needs it, After that, Id Enjoy such items and hex,

Hex, meteor, tornado, :P

Attack attack attack, Dead. Smile

Watch some online videos off youtube, ive seen a new good invokers there.

I get MoM , 2x basher , treds, a assault curias, and a skadi

SKills required for this is cold snap cuz everytime u attack someone with cold snap it gives a .04 second stun no matter what 100% for 6 seconds depending on Quas Level. And altricity for 160% attk speed increase. I tried this build many times and worked great.

wOOT, Permastun. Congrats on your build. Yet for me it is too 1 dimensional, you only utilize 2 of Invokers vast number of skills.

IMO, one would get Linkens and/or Guinsoo. But I haven't played him yet. What I have done is watch a load of other people play him.

I also think he is more skill based than item based. Depends on what skills you get and how you use them.

deafening synergies greatly with shiva, especially against life leechers. he needs the armor too. my build with him is currently support, which is

most common item build for invoker is the lifesteal items... or shiva's guard... yeah.. but anyways.. invoker heavily relies on his spells... so the skill build matters that much more... many people go for the meteor strike + deafening blast combo which is indeed really good... some ppl actually buy dagon for the combo sake... as invoker's combo early game is deadly... and late game is a pain in the butt....

the thing with invoker, is to get stats, get adaptable items because you are an adaptable hero. you can be disabler, dps, or just general caster. that screams treads, possibly nulls, orchid, maybe some LIFESTEAL.

i hate lifesteal on int heroes, you cant benefit as much as agi or str heroes do. but if some people says it works, it probably does

invoker is about the most versatile hero in DOTA, so he does not have one standard item build

i go for:

Skadi
Treads
Orchids
Guinsoo
MoM
Buriza

I dun expect to finish this build, probably the game will end at halfway thru making guinsoo

havent really tested if alacrity stacks with MoM frenzy though

ownage on insane DPS

but mainly every time that i play him, i usually get ghost walk icewall and sunstrike and cold snap.. this is my build for him
