Man dies while playing DotA

Ong Yi Bao was found dead over his computer terminal on Wednesday afternoon just 12 minutes after a game of Defense of the Ancients started.

Despite not being an ardent gamer himself, the 20-year-old Singaporean fainted in front of the same computer the night before, according to his mother. She was teaching Ong how to play mahjong over the internet then. However, the 50-year-old mother did not mention if medical attention was sought at that point of time.

It is said that Ong's mother bought him the game upon the completion of his 2-year spell of his country's military service.

In addition, despite Ong's medical history of asthma, his condition has been fairly stable and was not on any medication for it.

Ong is also a high-school dropout, but the unemployed man has had plans to enroll in a private school to pursue a computer course.

Duuuuude...

DotA wasn't the killer. It was Mahjong! QUICK! WW MUST OUTLAW IT IN THE STATES BEFORE MORE NERDS FALL TO IT!!!

Man, that's just...pitiful and sad. I don't know how else to describe it. I mean, he just got out of his 2 year military service, then he dies!

Guess it just goes to show that when your time comes, there's no way to stop it.

Guys, you're forgetting something.
Nerds die in a worse manner playing WoW by staying at thier computer leveling thier Undead Priest instead of eating. o_o

lol. he died because he took the game too seriously and suffered an asthma attack. in WoW people a) neglect their physical needs, b) overreact to what happens to their wow character and somehow doom themself.

I would also blame the Majhong I'm afraid. But we really should show a little more respect, funny as some of those comments are. No Aegis / Reaper Scythe / hope dazzle graved him/ etc...
