As for me.... Necromican's better and worth the money coz late game a hero can juz tank the 800 damage (plus the reductions)... but with feed bak and manaburn and last wish (or sumthin) and 2 strong mages with speed boost is good throughout the game coz most heroes need mana...

Too situational to say...
the list of heroes who can fully utilise the power of Necro is much shorter than those who can easily use dagon.

IMO, in terms of effectivness for the heroes who can use it well, Necro is a far better item

necro is a far better item than dagon... why would you waste your money upgrading dagon to level 5 when 800 castable damage is easily ignored specially in end game...

necro gives you 2 summons that has very good skill and sees invisible units that will help you deal damage and kill your opponent far easier...

why do you think necronomicon is one of the most abused items in competitive games?

I dont agree that late game a hero can tank 800 damage, but Dagon gets useless endgame anyway, its way too expensive to upgrade, necromonicon is more useful i think, cuz you can get it lvl3 midgame.

Yeah you cant tank 800 damage exactly, at least not a normal hero. But Necromonicon cant exactly finish someone off.

Necro for push, while dagon for kill.
Even the prizes are much different...
dagon lv 5 costs up to 8000 gold while necro lv 3 just +-5000 gold
they just cannot be compared..... ><

Necro is better overall but, as people have said, this is far too situational to say for sure. Dagon is better in many situations, between your hero and your opposition's heroes.

Necro can potentially do more damage than dagon if necro is coupled with disables but I personally don't get necro just to push. I get it for true sight and damage.

Rexxar is an example of an idea necro holder, his roar stuns for up to 4 seconds giving your necro warriors time to deal alot of damage and necro's aura can help alot in giving you and your pig the needed movespeed to chase afterwards.

I personally like Necronomicon for the hitpoints it gives. Aside from the opinions of our support team members there are many more heroes who are in fact good users of Necronomicon. This is enough to say that the item is still better than Dagon (especially Dagon 5) on average.

Recently I have seen more and more Necronomicons on the Queen of Pain, Warlock, Lion, Lich, Rhasta, Dazzle, etc, which shows how popular the item has become. Yes Necronomicon on the Queen of Pain works very well as a strategy.

necro is more usefull in mid and late game ,the 2 summoned magi at lvl3 are so fast and their ability ( feedback & manaburn ) R great through the late game for every hero
