best hero for vanguard certainly is axe, no doubt, to nay other str hero is bracer.

ursa starts with bracer and farms a vanguard

if your hero doesn't need vanguard as an item filler in mid-late game i would suggest bracers.

if you have a tanking gun who benefits from from such an item i would tyake vanguard all the way.

I take vanguard for a few heroes only e.g ursa, axe, and magina.
Other that, bracer is better.

hey hey hey, in the early game, do you have 2275 gold? maybe when 1vs1 you have it, but usually 4vs4 you just have about 800 gold, so i vote for bracer

but the price is a bit much

5hp sec regen, hp and blocks damage

if you love stats bracers if you want hp,regen and some damage deduction(the block i mean) then go for vanguard

but i vote for bracers if your hero really needs an expensive items and need a little hp boost
