Light was the protagonist on the story. He owns the death note and known as the first KIRA. Kira in Japanese means killer. L wants to figure out who is KIRA. He make some experiments and investigations to know the first KIRA. And L knew the first KIRA. But, Ryuk kill Light on the first place and L was killed by Rem.

Kira isn't exactly a Japanese word. The japanese word for killer is "satsujin". Kira is just the japanese pronunciation of killer.

Both. But the list used to be very short when I was just a little kid, it gets longer as I get older.

took me a while to recall the really old ones (GoLion, Voltez V, Combattler V, etc.)
