Dirty DotA tactics
Posted on Wed Apr 02, 2008 6:50 amIn this thread, share some tactics in DotA that you do to get the upper hand. WE DON'T WANT TO HEAR COMMON THINGS LIKE BACKDOORING OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. Get creative, let me give one for you.
My friends like to log in to Yahoo! Messenger before they play so they can chat while they're dead(my Yahoo ID is "ramb0l" by the way). Once we were in the middle of the game, I was dead, and the rest of my team tried to push without me. I could see that the enemies were preparing for a clash. So, I buzzed all my friends which were on the enemies' side(buzzing automatically makes the recipient switch to the window of your messages), resulting in a perfect clash for my team and a botched one for the enemies.
Share some experiences or ideas, get creative.

When I'm playing with really crappy players, ones who trash-talk, do nothing, and always think of themselves, I Alt+tab and go to GGC. I Flood the host with animated smileys. It lags their GGC and DC's them from the game. Everyones happy.

Luna please explain how you do that. What is GGC? Im from South Africa and some of the players here are really irritating and annoying, it sucks i cant do anything about them cause they wont shut up.
BTW, its a bit long and tedious, but if your sentinel with broodmother you can use your webs to make a new path into there base at top, totally avoiding that tower and allowing you and your teammates to rip the insides out of there base.

it was a pub game and the shop usually has only one outlet...we were losing and i "accidentally" trip off the outlet and "blip!"...good thing they didn't know were the outlet is...we reset our game and we win. XD

Use techies and lay a bunch of mines at a open place..
Lay a brach or a other cheap item on top of the bunch, and watch the noobs trying to get it
Also you can parma-hex with Tinker lategame

i like to use chicken running through a lane toward river, they always chase and i hook:)

One of my favorites is going to the bottom lane as Axe (top lane if you're Scourge) with 2 stout shields (3 of you randomed him) and go a little north/south to where you can see the Scourge/Sentinal tower and wait for the creeps to come near you and if the enemy is stupid, they'll move with the creeps toward you so you can click on the hero and make all the creeps attack you and watch as they get torn up my multiple helixes XD

I got the idea from somewhere... and yes it is nasty. I deprived a Void from so much exp and gold and was lvl 10 while everyone else was 5 =] Even for a soloer that's pretty damn good.

Lol, 27Luna owns with that one... I suppose that I can always custom kick obvious hackers the instant before they are awarded their tainted victory ^^ but that only works when I'm host (nor is that original).

well, try this..
on 5v5 game, 4 of your team member choose tower pusher eg. korbelus, warlock, leshrac, pugna. then the other one choose naga siren.
whwn all of your team reach lvl 6, push middle lane imidiately,
use korbelus ulti, pugna's blast, golem, leshrac diabolic or whatever (forgot the name, not the ulti).
then, when the enemy try to defend their tower, use siren song..
their tower will be crush within seconds with no enemy defending that tower.
after that, go back and wait for everyone's skill is available, especially siren's ulti.. then repeat the same thing.
u will win the game in about lvl 12 or so...

BACKDOORING!!!
omfg ... usually nerubian assasin players or clinx who get a little too greedy and kill a tower behind all rows of creeps and hero's.... omfg...
a dirty trick me and my friends do is to practice on a public game mode.
i make a server, my team joins, and then let random players join, we use perfect teamplay and synerjy and annoy those players ^^ but practice is practice.
KICK PLAYERS WHO ARE NOT (RU) OR NOT (GB) ECT. WE ARE ALL PLAYERS!!!
