i have seen like 100 darkterrors who gets mealsrtom instead of going bashers for your perma bash. i would like to know why?

malestorm is great on agi heroes because they have great atack speeds, so the chance they get of scoring a chain lightning in a certain amount of time is preety high. And scince darkterror also has a bash skill of his own it is preety good. The thing is that in adittion to being an excelent artefact for farming, it is also rather cheap and preety anoying for the oponent especially in the early and mid-game. Imagine casting chain lightning let's say just 4 times a minute and hitting your oponent with it. Well that is about 300-400 damage to him... and you didn't have to get close and be hit by him... muhahahahaha. It also grants agility (6 i think) witch adds to damage, armor and atack speed... all of which darkterror needs (actually by adding agility it increases by a small percentage the efectivness of his base bash skill) As your atack speed rises, so does your chance to score a bash hit in a shorter time. And... the main purpose is clearly farming. You generally get at least the money for a creep when you release a chain lightning... but often you can score 2-3 creep kills. Try this when using malestorm. Atack each creep 1 or 2 times just to leave them with red life, but don't kill. If by chance you score a chain, you will more likely get the money for 2-3 creeps (almost 150 gold)... and that's only for a wave. So going malestorm first gives you a good farming and anoying of the other player (which can lead to him going to recharge and you gaining levels not to mention gold)... and in the long run, well you are going to get all of your either items (like bashers) much much faster. It's just like puting money in a bank... they will pay off later.

Since 6.38, fo' Razor/Bone Clinks/Darkterror/Terrorblade/Furion/Razzil Darkbrew, I go for midas and boots first, then Mjolnir(Maelstrom + Eaglehorn), then bashers, after that, tarrasque!?wahaha!?

Ok, i could hardly stop laughing when u called "meal-storm" like some food-giving item or sth!
On a serious note, maelstorm has it's advantages when you're using a long ranged hero. and katta_lin told u, if you have a good attack speed, the you can cast it almost every 10 seconds..... i've seen a snper going for 3 maelstorms, casting chain lightning every alternate shot, from 770 range away! real pain, it can be. but you needn't get three, just 1 or 2 if u dont have a specefic build planned. IMO its good for ranged heroes.
Another great one (i think thisone works) would be luna moonfang. imagine, galive attack and chain lightning would wipe out an entire creepwave!

Vipul, okay, here's what happens if moon glaive and maelstrom/mjolnir attached:

Luna has no attack missile, but will damage enemies. Chain Lightning will be activated once in a while, but no bounce attack for moon glaive, waa!! Even if Luna haven't learned yet moon glaive.

But if your allies has maelstrom and buffs you with it, the Static Shock will be used, but you will lose 50/or more mana when buff is w/in you. It won't be an orb effect if it's a buff.

Well, just like other's said,
and for now, it has more usage. It can be upgrated into mjolnir.

but something bother me...
Some say, when chain lightning is cast [from maelstorm or mjolnir] your attack is stop until the lightning is met it's last target. is it true?

I don't know it's typo or not. but it should be written :
maelstorm not
mealstorm.

I don't know about what is the meaning about mael. but meal is definitly food.

No, you can still attack even if Chain Lightning's animation isn't over.

How bout this if u have maelstrom and basher then attack and got Chain Lightning's animation but stun also occur at the same time?
