Help with item icons please

So i wanted to make an item idea, so i went to hiveworkshop and downloaded an icon. i tried to use the icon in the item builder, but it said:
Error
Only .gif and .jpg files are allowed.
The icon file must have a height of 64 pixels and width of 64 pixels.
It said that even though the icon was 64 x 64.
What is a gif and jpg file?
How do i use these icons that i dled?

You don't need to DL it. BTW, you can do this:

OPTION A) Open in Paint:
1. Save it as JPEG or GIF File.
2. Upload it.

OPTION B) Open in Adobe Photoshop:
1. Save for Web...
2. Upload it.

OPTION C) Go to Hive Workshops:
1. Right-click icon
2. Copy URL of icon. Example: http://www.hiveworkshops.com/blah2.gif
3. Paste it in in this topic with tags:
[code][img]http://www.hiveworkshops.com/blah2.gif[/img][/code]
