Counter items

Counter items is a touchy subject...
You have to evaluate if it truly is worth it to waste the money that could have gone into your core items just to stop one hero...
Of course, in a 1v1, that is ALWAYS right, but in bigger games...
Anyway, generally, you'll want to check your hero before you try to buy something to counter the enemy... For example, a DPS hero could use Desolator as a devastating counter item against tanks, but a caster or disabler would be wasting the money...
Sometimes, you need to get an item to counter one exact thing the enemy will use against you that wrecks you... For example, stopping Sven's storm bolt greatly reduces the chances he gets of killing you, so Linken's would be a good idea in such a case... Or, if you are confident you can kill him quickly, BKB, but after those 10 seconds you're naked...
Personally, I don't find buying items to counter the enemies worth it, unless they are absolutely owning it, in which case, the item won't do much... So... I dunno... Do as you will

I think to upgrade Dagon to Dagon 5 is not as worthed as purchasing other items. 1350 for +100 damage?? I'd go for another item..

true dagon is expensive in fact i only use it in games against noobs who i don't take seriously

yah, i only used dagon 5 on pugna, only pugna!,,

@panda user, ahh, thanks, i discover it too, he has low manapool and int gain,

on DPSer, i suggest disable items and butterfly
