Axe with butterfly ?????

helix triggers when the enemy attacks (rather than hits), and blocks that attacks damage, further because it is a spell it takes priority over the butterfly evasion meaning if it triggers butterfly can not and if it doesn't butterfly can trigger thus effectively increasing you health (before spells, including helix, get involved) by 30% (more with helix)
mjolliner works on the same principle as counter helix but it doesn't block damage and has a better range and damage..

anyway i fully support and encourage getting butterfly and mjolliner on axe.

BAD BAD IDEA Counter helix triggers on hit, not evasion. So less hit=less damage

for me butterfly is good on axe, with mass tarassque, because if axe tanks an enemy, he can survive much longer because of evasion, + the mass tarassque on axe, at team clashes, tank will be the tank of team, so if axe cast his call, axe can survive longer, like yuki said, the helix trigger if axe attack, not hit, so the butterfly does not decrease the percentage of helixes,

helix triggers on enemy's attack animation (hav noticed helix getting triggered when running away from ranged enemy's attack before the projectile actually hits you) So i presume butterfly is feasible. But HoT wud make much more sense. Maybe u can get butter on axe after u already hav 2 HoTs as the increase in EHP wud be a lot more useful now.

Wow can you people read Counter helix is triggered when a unit is set to attack on axe this does not require any "Hit" and you would be surprised at how effective axe can be with a butter-fly. Axe has the same chance to helix but has a 30% chance to not take any damage from an in coming attack. If you have vlads and a heart maybe BoT/Treads and a vanguard or any tanking items you can last a lot longer with the help of Butterfly plus axe gains attack speed, armor, and damage. This item is optional and only would be used if you were farmed like a mother F#*$#. Anyways thats how it works

sometimes I go absolutely heartless and it works fine.

i never think about using butterfly on axe bcoz heart is much more better to get on him...btw,i'll try consider to use it after this...

but it really isn't much better on him, you can't know this unless you have seen and tried extensively the "much better functionality"

yah,after 2 HOT i always get buttefly on axe,whether it decrease the trigger of helixes or not, because you have a teammates to attack the enemy, not only your helixes, so get butterfly for tanking,

A butterfly after Satanic be plausible. I wouldnt suggest butterfly after HoT's because its parts does not help in tanking while HotD or Messerscmidt reaver does.

not a good item for him but he is like an insane tank with it. I was playing this 2-2 game. I was vengeful spirit my teammate was sandking. First I was pawning axe and earthshaker. Then I couldn't end it quick cause sandking kept on dying. So later on axe got butterfly, heart, and battlfury. this game was like 60 minutes. In the end I couldn't even hit axe and his hp was like 3500 or something and my hits kept on missing. I lost the game in the end.

Satanic gives a whopping 25% lifesteal and 25 Str. Very similar to a HoT in my opinion and if youre going butter build attack speed wont be wasted
