Axe with butterfly ?????

Butterfly is in fact quite a good item on him. The agi is not wasted as it also provides some armour. Though, I usually only manage to get a HoT, Vanguard and BoT and the game is over. Axe's games are never meant to be very long as he loses effectiveness if he didn't own early game.

really I would spend it on evasion.

when you use beserker's call it essentially becomes a 30% HP increase.

but i won't really go for butterfly . . .

HoT is the way to go when it comes to Axe . .

for me . .

if you evade the attacks upon you . . then wtf with helix!?!?

and hearts gives you a bonus 500 hp,while satanic give 25% lifesteal,which does not triggers with helix,if im not mistaken that is.So,practically getting a satanic is a WASTE .

axe does not necessarily rely on his attacks to do the damage . . .

its the helix that does it for him . .

so HoT>Satanic . . no question about it . .

I think more armor items such as Cuirass is much better on him. For spell reduction try HoD =D

Evasion does trigger Helix. Instead, to get either HoT or Butterfly is totally up to personal reference; but Satanic is definitely a no for Axe since Axe is not a DPS hero.

So you like the taste of Fail Sandwich?
I really cannot see why you would get a Butter instead of a Heart with the same amount of money.

Heart. STR heroes. + HP, +Dmg +Regen
Butter. AGI heroes. +Agi +Dmg +Dodge

Which does the TANK description fit under? ><

Most of you have just stated that you get Butterfly and stated on the dodge actually triggering spin. Please justify why Butterfly is viable.

to all the axe butterfly users - hmmmm... its true that counter helix is activated only on the attack and so on just like yukino said. and it is true that 30% evasion is imbaaa. so ure telling me that for 30% evasion ure paying 6000 gold? thats like buying a battefury for te 6hp per sec regen.. its just doesnt connect

evasion don't work with skills.. the whorst enemy of a axe are the damage and disables skills.. so... with a heart (HOT) you could plus your survivality and be a real tank.. with butterfly a couple of combos with skills and you will going down baby.. simple as that.... Heart >butter,satanic (wtf satanic o.O?)

ok say you have 3k life, do you...
a) buy a heart for an extra 500(ish) life, some regen and some damage?
b) buy a butterfly for evasion equal to about 1000 life, some damage and some extra armor and attackspeed?
c) buy satanic so you can dps someones ass =P
d) buy mjolliner so you can have a double helix effect with static, some damage, some armor and even further improved farming abilities?

anyway i wouldn't go with c, a is viable but b looks like a better deal, i generally grab d as my first item.


@above there is always a BKB for that exact purpose.

if axe's counter helix is triggered he wont receive any damage so it's really bad for him because counter helix is like an evasion already with just damage return. butterfly is just a waste
