Axe with butterfly ?????

i think its an interesting idea.Coz presuming if u have have say 2 vanguarsa aldready u will aldready be blocking lots of damage+the 30% evasion will make him imba.though like smbdy said mjoinir is the better item for him.
Butter wont suck.its not a bad idea.but only if u aldready got the normal items b4 that.

Bah, everyone here seems to focus so much on killing stuff. Axe, early on in the game, doesn't need any damn Mjollnir or Bfly to go around killing stuff. And later on in the game, your role changes to a disabler/tanker for your allies to be doing all the damage.

(Speaking of Mjollnir... the effect is nice on Axe, but you should really ask an ally to get it and cast it on you. I admit Static charge is good, the stats are sorta useless on him.)

HoT is definitely a better item on Axe! >_<
Not only does it fit his role better as a tank, but imagine that you're playing against an Axe! What's your first reaction?

"Hey guys, look, it's an Axe... let's go ATTACK him to death hehe."

... I hope not! You're going to be spamming all the spells you got on him to kill him. And yeah, that 30% invasion or that Static Charge won't help you much in that case. If you genuinely think Mjollnir or Bfly is better on him, then you really are eating fail sandwich. =.=

There isn't always going to be a really perfect situation for berserker's call. Most people aren't stupid enough to walking around in bunches with lots of creeps with an Axe around! What happens if you're the one who's being ganked? The heart is going to help you a lot more in that case!! ^_^ What happens if your allies figure that since there's an Axe around, they should probably get lots of HP? (If you've managed to get a Bfly, maybe they've managed to get a Heart!) Then your helixes and ult doesn't kill them, and they can turn around and nuke you at leisure! >_<!!

And if you think about it, the 30% evasion is not exactly 30% if it's on Axe. If counter helix activates the damage gets blocked anyway, right? It's not used to its full potential on Axe...

Axe's counter helix is when an enemy attacks you, not when you get hit. so it doesnt matter if the attack hits or misses.

For the item build, i'd prefer a heart since more hp means more tanking and hp can tank spells as well. and a heart is cheaper compared to a butterfly anyway.

indistinguishable that's not what I meant. If I recall correctly Axe has a 17% chance of using Counter Helix, right? But it still triggers if you evade attack, giving you a total of 41.9% chance of avoiding damage -- not 47%! In fact, it only increases effective HP by 21.9%! Do you still think it's worth it? >_<

babagak like previously mentioned it's probably better for an ally to get it and then cast the buff on you. ^_^

yes i do because berserker's call makes that 21.9% more health better than the 500 you get from a heart.

it's great item on him really, but on 3 reasons it's not good

not str-based
radiance is good on him

and last but most important:
eaglehorn is a fail single item

@Ghost: You'll probably not be taking much damage from attacks anyway during Berserker's Call since you get bonus armour and you probably have a Vanguard by that point anyway... the extra HP is there to help you survive the zillions of spells that will come flying your way the moment Call ends.

Or perhaps you only call one hero at a time? ^_^

And besides, when I say a 21.9% increase in effective HP, even that is under the assumption that you never ever get hit by a single spell in the entire game. So... it's not even that. And if you don't have HP items, a couple of heavy nukes will take Axe down easy-peasy!! >_<

butterfly is not bad for axe but there are better items for him.. instead of butterfly, i prefer cuirass which provides the needed armor of axe. butterfly gives +IAS which also cuirass does.. butterfly=evasion, is it also provided by the armor.. right.. for me what i buy for axe are... 1. vanguard (2x) 2. BoT 3. battle fury 4. Hot 5. cuirass 6. vlad.. or if i have the money i'll buy 2x HoT..

If you already have 2 hearts then I have nothing to say, but all I wanted to say that Bfly is definitely not the best item you can get on Axe. @_@

@Cakercunt: I understand you are one of those really rich people who don't pick up money after they drop it because their time is so valuable that they actually lose money by bending down to pick something up?! Tell me it is so!!
