I among many others am sick of seeing threads pleading for you to come and suggest a counter to a hero, so i have decided to make a really really big list, containing every hero and every item with its counter..
(well I say every item, some are excluded for obvious reasons "zomgs help me counter a bracer?")

Ok I have now got a releasable list. (at least 2 counters for each hero)
and 3 download links in this post

It can be downloaded HERE

So you know what you are downloading:

you have a nice big list which contains all heroes in alphabetical order divided between scourge and sentinel, then there are all items in alphabetical order.
along side each hero is 2-4 different heroes that can directly counter the listed hero throughout the game.

With items its more general, all active items are countered by lucifer and AoE items (meka and shiva etc.) are countered by VS with swap. from there it just says, use this kind of tactic.. dps and the like, it focuses around countering things with heroes rather than items. and so the only anti ward hero is Treant Protector, keep that in mind, wards can be countered by more than tree and heroes I list are not the ONLY heroes to counter that specific hero.

It can be downloaded HERE anyway needless to say you can't actually edit it as i have it under some nifty edit protection.

I know that i said i would take advice from people who responded to the list but nobody really posted what i wanted.

thanks to shimrra_3 for taking a quick look at the unfinished list and giving me some critique.
and thanks to war_wrecker for being a useful consultant with the last few heroes whom i was to lazy to think about myself.
lastly thanks to the mods who keep this site running and drew for being the bestest admin in the world

i recken quite a few agi heros are counters by enchantress-decrease their attack speed by 90% =]

new plan, suspend suggestions till i can finish what i can do off the to of my head, then i will post a list of uncountered heroes and items.

lol at the item counter list, anything with an active is countered by Lucifer's doom and stuns.

Axe is easily defeated by ones with HUGE DPS such as Phantom Assassin.
Ugh... Early game hero easily defeated by late game hero? lol...
Not sure but I believe Chaos knight can be used to counter many heroes that do have high DPS, no cleaving ability, not much HP because it can stun, blink, phantasm, stun, blink and finish off easily.
Razor is like... Really really screwed when up against people who make him miss alot like Troll warlord and people who can dodge alot like Phantom Assassin with Butterfly...
Stealth Assassin is really dead if against stun heroes because they stun him and stealth cannot run away or invis and just get killed.

remember permabashers are countered by image heroes (but you probably already put that in).
I have to see your table to actually recommend things tho

my favorite counter is purge! if warlock used rain of chaos, use purge to the infernal and bye bye.
