Radiance..does it's reputation preceed it's actual uses?

radiance is not that bad of an item...

as extasy said, radiance adds more oomph to your attacks..
it also gives a hero an AoE damage that heLps them weaken creeps for easier pushing...

and regarding your comparison of mkb to radiance...

you can damage enemies by just running around them... (even though its onLy 28 dmg per sec)
can't see mkb do that...
but you may throw the mkb at them to damage them LoL...

your points taken, and I know it's under those circumstances, but it's just too much of a luxury item. I just don't see how people go gaga over it, like it's a god item o.0 lol usually you will see people say OMG radiance, but it provokes none of those reactions from other better items.
Just for dmging sa, and others can't justify it's price.
just my opinion.
remember I'm not making you not get radiance. just state your answers and be done with it. I will read them all. Just like I read every arguments, unlike others

People do go gaga about it? Ah well its not really a problem here, where I live. The other team usually gets high DPS items like buriza and deso anyway by the time someone gets a radiance. I only get radiance for a select few heroes such as mecurial, brad, weaver and sylla's bear(not him, his bear).

I myself don't get radiance most of the time, but on some heroes like Mercurial, Leoric, Strygwyr and Rooftrellen, it's my first non-lvl 1 item. It's farming ability will truly shine on those large creep pushes, result of a lane left alone, and there is an abundance of ranged creeps. Just stand between the enemy melee creeps and ranged creeps, last hitting the melee while immolation takes care of the ranged.

On topic:
Can you please state some reasons, there haven't been too many good points for getting radiance. Cmon, make it a fair debate. I'm siding nobody.

just google mym.com
go to competitive dota and search replays
replays associated with pride and prime defending are ususally the best
VirtusPro. replays are exciting

and since radiance helps deal shitload of damage to enemy team, this makes it synergetic with disables

I have no idea if what you say is true, but I myself have tried but never really got a good use out of it, except scoring lucky kills once in a while and I doubt MYM uses it for such.
Hmm I can't believe they would use immolation as part of a team clash..there must be other reasons but that would probably be the only one..35/sec? Hmm

First of all, radience sure isn't a godly item that people should be 'googoogaaing' over, but its definiently not as bad of an item as some people seem to think it is. When I buy this item it is usually for farming up gold when i am using a team support hero NOT a hero killer/hunter whereas I would buy B-fly or MKB. If you just stand next to creeps and let radience do its work, sure it not going to kill every last creep but I know it will get a kill more than 2% of the time especially vs ranged creeps who aren't being attacked by your allied creeps. you should just be last hiting as usual anyway.

@Topic MYM uses this item because its a great core item for a few of there picks, or just like 2, Lol 35 damage a sec adds up,do the maths and it ends up being quite alot of damage spread.
