Manta on Anti Mage???

Manta on Anti Mage???
Posted: Thu Jun 19, 2008 6:13 pmas manta style has an effect which burns 32 mana per hit, would this stack with anti mages mana burn abaility?
becasue it would be emense mana burning and would maximum the potential (spelling shocking today
) of his ulti.
or would the tow of them not stack?
also becasue anit mage ahs a very fats attack rate the manta style images wuld help pushing
please dont give seperate builds i know a lot of them
but alternative item welcome

they're both orbs, so they wont stack, i think anti-mage's one would overide the other
try the perma-basher build since he has fast attack
and you wont need manta to push since he already has fast attack

Even though the orbs are the same abilities, I don't believe they stack. I would check the orb list thing somewhere in the library.
However, with the illusions you would theoretically burn more mana faster and deal more damage. But the opponent would be stupid to fight you 1v1 rather than escaping. But if the opponent is stunned, then he should be dead anyway so it doesn't matter there.
The only scenario where is would matter is if you/your team is getting ganked. But you have blink so you can get away. It would be helpful though to use the illusions to burn their mana to either stop/reverse their gank or slow down any pushing that they could do.
with any agi heroes the illusions will help push but you'll have your team mates which last longer than the illusions. So you would want to save the illusions for the fight, which would mean not using them to push.

so the question then is would you want difusal for the stats and for purge or would you want manta for the stats and the illusions?
I would say manta because (with a very few exceptions Sven/Broodmother etc.) purge is mainly used as a slow, which Magina doesn't need because he can blink

I think lifesteal will override magina's mana break becuase I've heard that a guy with a mask of death tried to use mana void as a finisher but it didn't do anything.
So I don't think all hero orbs will override the other orbs, but for the same orb (mana burning) it might work

I meant the Vladmir's Melee only lifesteal which isn't an orb.

Actually it stacks... we have tested it, dont pay attention to people who claim something else.
The trick is that you have to complete diffusal and then manta FIRST before you take the manaburn skill. So its not really worth it becouse you need the skill to make earlygame kills and so on - Magina is not suited for lategame only.

so it works like hood of defiance stacking with spell shield, that's good to know, you just can't really do anything with it (mana burn stacking, not spell resistance)

yeah, but how fast can you farm for manta and how many hero kills can you get without manaburn + manavoid?
Magina can be good early game as well as late game, rather than just rape all of the int heroes late game (who loose effectiveness anyway)

Actually, no it wont stack. If you get manta first before getting any level in mana break, then you will have your skill only. If you build manta late game after you got mana break, then manta overrides the skill.
Magina has much more use with twin bashers then manta, and bash with manta is stupid,ü ıt says it prolongs a bash but you dont have the real one bashing a lot cuz you spent uyour money on manta, not butter. Get a hood, shoot for a basher, then butter and another basher if required.
