Poll: Do you play 1v1?
Posted: Mon Jun 23, 2008 8:55 pmThere are many topics for what hero do I use to counter this hero or how can hero A beat hero B. My question is are there really that many people playing 1v1? I play on bnet and there are very few games being hosted that are 1v1 and I've never joined one because I have no interest in it. Dota is a team game and is balanced as such, so who can beat who in a 1v1 match seems meaningless to me.

Sometimes i play 1v1 but only AR or when we agreed our heros from the beginning because there is nothing funny about someone who picks lina and then his opponent picks magina or storm. So no anti heroes are involved when i play 1v1.

ive never played 1v1 and i hate it when ppl in a game ask you to 1v1 when they lose... DotA is a team game so i don't see a point in doing 1v1

I play 1v1 only when challenged to... By a friend or whatever, and IF I feel like...
Most of the time, I just join a 5v5 game... More fun that way...

dota is a team game, 1v1 just shows that the winner can pick a counter to the other hero or can outfarm you.
which really is stupid.
in a 1v1 you can buy a dagon outright...
so you give that to a tb picker in 1v1 (i know this is stupid)
then get your hp owned.
then sunder dagon.
as soon as you get first blood its pretty much over.
