Under what circumstances should you get Divine Rapier?

I rarely see Divine Rapier in games and guides, so when should you get that? IMO it's quite a good item. Confused

well....if you can afford it....or...i've seen this done before get hand of midas and just farm farm farm and head straight for it....

1] When you have Aegis
2] When you have good HP and Armor
3] When you have a decent attack speed
4] When you have an escape skill [If you don't have Aegis yet]
5] If you have a critical skill
6] If you want to break the game

@jake the mus: thats quite a good idea, but by the time you get HoM I might have given up farming due to difficulty. @yukino: I've seen Mortred get divine and her coup de grace actually did 1500 critical damage! Why get aegis before divine rapier?

because if you get too greedy due to your "divine" status trying to kill people and you die...or if everyone ganked you then u died and they will give the divine to someone like mortred or anyone wiht a bruiser and your whole team will get owned!!!

Here's the fast-ass farmer who can afford it..

ALCHEMIST!!

Start off with Ring of regen, glove of haste, and boots
get Hand of midas and abuse the scourge neutral creeps (gnoll assassins + ??) and use HoM for farm. In less than 20 minuites, get Aegis of the immortal, then divine, then battle fury!!

Only two conditions:
1) If you're certain or almost certain that you won't drop it (either through having an aegis or having some escape skill)
2) If you can use it effectively, meaning someone with high atkspd or crit ability (intel heroes don't really fit in here)

Want Divine w/o dropping it?

Get Mercurial and get divine rapier(any number, heheh..), the butterfly, lothar's edge, sangeandyasha, power treads. If you're about to die, use Spectral Dagger and move to it's trails and if you die, the Divine rapier won't drop..

Divine is a cost effective item IMO but only for some heroes. You can get aegis divine for necrolic, its awesome with him. Also PA.

On a side note, the best player in our cafe usually jokes around telling everyone to get "aegis divine". he actually gets "aegis divine" for 50% of his heroes. the best player in my team gets "aegis divine" for int heroes, like warlock, he says "what else should i get lol, i am frigging raping those noobs!"

get divine if your sure that you will never die... but i'm sure if you have divine all of your enemy will try to kill you,, so they can get and sell your divine or use it....first buy 1 aegis to prevent from dropping your divine when you die then buy lothars and kelens.... why?? to escape your enemy so that you wont die!!!!!! hahahaha

Yes, you cannot sell it! It's undroppable by itself, but only drops if the holder dies. But you have 2 options once you killed a hero w/a divine and dropped.

A.) Get the divine rapier iff you will not die.
B.) Deny the divine rapier to waste the original ower's worth of getting the rapier.
