Nerf petition: Mekanism!

Yup you all heard me. Mechanism IMO is one of the strongest items in the game and for its cheap cost and awesome buff and healing makes it really really strong! Everyone, including my team realized its potential. You can imagine that in a match without rules(pub match) we usually get like 4 mechanism. And when rules apply we always get the maximum number of mechanisms!

First of all, if there is an organized push with more than 3 mechanism the attacking team would increase their victory chances by 50% because they won't need to go back to base. Its cooldown is too low.

I suggest adding like 10-30 seconds to the cooldown to prevent its abuse.

Mekansm is very powerful...but I don't like the item. I buy it sometimes because it's useful, but for some reason I just don't like buying it. Anyway it needs to be nerfed a bit in my opinion.

Should definitely be nerfed. Like you said, additional cooldown. Maybe increase the recipe cost to 1200. Wink

Hmm...Meka, meka, meka...I only use it with support heroes and intel types. But sometimes Mekansm isn't always the helpful item. Even with the Healing and Armor buff, you can still get wasted pretty quickly. The cooldown is just right for me, although i think the cooldown in 6.39 is a little quicker...If you wanna nerf it...raise the Mana Cost to 200. The Mekansm has been a good item throughout all the DotA versions. No need to change it...

You do not understand why it should be nerfed. The reason its so powerful is that because in organized matched with pro teams, each team usually gets atleast 3 mekanisms. And with its low cooldown and mana cost it almost guarantees a steady stream of healing to the entire strike force. Resulting in non-stop pushing action. If the mana cost and cooldown is increased then it would reduce its potential to be used at consequtive times by the whole team.

Well you said you wanted the Cooldown to be increased right?
Either that or Raise the mana cost so that you can't use it as often...
That's what you said on your first post right? Prevent it's abuse?

So...if both teams had heroes with each a Mekansm, that makes equal fights right? So it all depends on the skill of the team....

Meh... Mekansm is useless in 3vs3 and below in my opinion... It's better to spend the money in a more useful item for yourself... So, it all depends on the match-up, and the heroes. If you have heroes with healing skills, like Omniknight or the 6.39 Shadow Priest, or Warlock, then you don't need it. It is extremely useful for pushing and large team battles though, and that's why I'm often forced to make one.

Did everyone forget that you can only receive the healing/armor bonus if you don't already have the healing/armor bonus (called the Mekansm buff in game)? That means you pretty much have to wait the duration of the cooldown before you can be affected by another Mekansm activation (except if you're purged, Borrowed Time activates, hexed, or any other buff-reduciing spell). What's so imbalanced about that?
