The Sword of Damocles

The Sword of Damocles , weapon of legend, known not for slaying hundreds of foes, being able to kill gods or coming from some lake fairy. It is symbol of ever-present peril faced by those in positions of power.
This ancient weapon was once stolen from temples of Underworld and now, thousands of years later, it reappeared to give it's power to those who dare to undertake risk of wielding it.

Gives:
+20 damage
+300 hp

2% chance to gain Curse of Damocles after being hurt by normal attack:
Next hit will drain 50% of current hp (or inflict it's normal damage, whatever is higher)

Passive Bestow Curse :
When hero wielding the Sword is killed, his curse passes on killing unit. This unit (hero or non-mechanical) automaticaly gains Curse of Damocles for as long as it gets first hit.


Created from:
Broadsword (1200g)
Vitality Booster (1100g)
Sword of Damocles recipe (1700g)

Total of 4000g

interesting...
but if the enemy is killed from the curse who gets the kill? the one who landed the next hit or the bearier?

Curse itself can't kill, it just reduces hp by 50%. So if you die, it's because dmg was higher than your current hp. It also has no effect, when dmg is higher than 50% of hp, but it wont be killing blow.
So or so, killer gets kill, not the one who bestowed curse.

so what you just build there is the weirdest item ever...why would you want to die just to have your opponent weakened...but its a cool idea...but you should be able to remove the debuff..and make the curse active or so since the 3% are to unreliable to effectively use this item

I don't think you'll want to die just because of some weakening of enemy, but sometimes it happens.

The curse has 2% to be cast on you after every hit you take. WIth the curse, first hit will deal exactly 50% of your current hp as damage. Then it fades until another 2%.
When hero with Sword is killed, the Curse is [b]always[b] cast on killer. First hit, and it ends.
