Hi!
In need some help from Puck users. If you have no Puck experience, don´t post xD!

1rst: how many lvls Phase Shift needs to be efficient early? should it me maxed? when? (especify lvl)

2nd: Auto cast vs Manual cast.
1-What´s better?
2-Would auto cast prevent any type of nukes? even finger of death or Laguna?

3rd: Bonus Q :P. Item build.
1-¿Bracers are better than nulls on Puck?
2-¿What would be his first item gole?
3-¿What is his core item?

i get phase shift after rift and orb. I never autocast it but use it to dodge spells. And it is very effective when escaping, just cast orb, phase shift, wait a few secs and then blink. U can get one lvl early if u want, but then maximize orb and rift.
Its a matter of taste if u want to get nulls or bracers. I like nulls better cause of the extra intel. First core can be either Orchid, guinsoo or shiva, depending on the situation.

1)Phase should only be lvl 1 in early game, since u need to lvl up the nukes and get stats for survivability

2)Manual cast is, because auto will trigger on any attack directed toward u. Manual will require fast fingers and good timeing tho.
Yes, it can dodge any spell as long as it was casted on u, but u phase in time

3)Bracers are better if u find that u are dying too much, but if ur doing good, i would get nulls.
First item u might want could be boots of travel, or shiva's guard.
Core items would be shivas, guinsoos, skadi, orchid, heart

1. if you are good with timing, then you only need 1 lvl to manually dodge attacks, and if you autocast it then timing won't metter since it will trigger when you get hit and prevent that damage

for lvls, I'd only recommend 1 early game (before lvl 6) since your orb + rift combo is a priority, and sometime you don't even need it then since you can escape with your orb

2. if you can time it well, manual
the thing about autocasting is that it will trigger off of any damage, so if you get hit by a creep it triggers, and then you don't have it for when that hero hits you

IIRC it will prevent the damage from those spells

3 if you play more aggresive then Nulls since they will give you more mana for more mana and regen, if you play defensive then Bracers since they give you hp, I kinda like getting a Bottle if I go mid, that way I can abuse the runes and have both mana and hp regen to spam orbs and combo if necessary

core item imo is Guinsoo, mana regen, larger pool, some hp, Hex

I have seen people get Arcane Ring on Puck and it works well, but I'm not a fan since it doesn't help survival and when the enemy is constantly spamming orbs at you you start to expect them and can dodge them

1. I take 1 lvl early, and auto cast it. That way I can avoid early harrassment
2. like I said, I auto cast it at lvl 1. I'm not sure. If there is any pattern, but some nukes can be avoided if you auto cast, some can't. That's just the way it is. I usually only stop auto casting at lvl 4 since it gives me enough room to dodge, I'm not very good at it
3. Bracers definately > nulls. Puck has one of the highest starting int in the game, but not str. Items are bottle boots bracers, then either straight for travels, Dagon or guinsoo. Next depends, but u really shouldn't be farming that much any way

i autocasted phase shift, its very effective agasint an early game techies trying to suicide, it also provides for a very funny lol.

i get shift lvl 1, depending on wht my opponents are like Zeus, Lion, That fire girl i get on lvl one...lvl2 i mean...if there are 2 heroes that nukes you phase shift lvl 1 so yeh

One level of it is good enough. I like to autocast it because it can block spells like zeus's ult so ya.

i get 1 level of phase shaft at lvl 2. then get levels 3-4 after max orb.

level 1 for dodging obvious stuns like sven's hammer.

you can even dodge zuse's skills. if your really really perceptave....


good use:

if being ganked and there are no stunners. before they atatck or try to disbale you. orb and phase shift. as soon as orb is far enough away. press E. and youve excaped.


useing phase shift in shady area's helps excapes too. 4 seconds they wont see you.


i rarely autocast shift becasue its annoying, if anything hits you screwed up your combo.

i was under the impressions that autocasted shift triggers after you've been damage, not before....o_O

i guess i was wrong =P

Less emo now but still kinda upset. I wish I could do something about my guide. I don't want to fall into FFD's category of people who say they will make a guide and never follow through. Just rather discouraged right now.

Late game I leave Phase Shift on autocast =P Enemy get's so pissed off because I keep shifting when they try to target me

I prefer Nulls so I have enough mana for my spells (ganking purposes). But a bottle works just as good.

Er... hmmm... Skadi isn't a bad item core item on Puck.

I put it on autocast when im running away with low hp. Helped me plenty times. Iv avided zeuses ulti with it a few times, as well as shuriken, storm bolt, and lvl death.

Always 1 lvl of it by lvl 3. Do not auto cast it, only manual cast to dodge projectiles.

Agree with above. Learn the casting animations too. It helps time when to dodge.

I never maxed it, just 2 lvl is enough for me. At early game get 1 lvl and autocast it.
His core item can be EoS, Dagon, or Guinsoo.
