maelstr0m is n0t a buff placer but im n0t sure that pois0n wil reset when lightning procs. So what? Ven0ms orb is ign0rable for me. Btw, i dont upgrade it to mojo, its n0t worth d cost 4 ven0m.

Radiance and Skadi is my choice. Sure Maelstrom and stuff buffs his DPS but once the games gets going to need something to keep you alive. So Skadi would be my choice and Radiance is just simply a must.

Veno doesn't really need any items to play effectively IMO. All he has to do is pull off a good nova in clashes and provide a slow in ganks already makes him effective for the team. Manta is nice but I get it for the diffusal to take care of pesky warlocks and slowing enemies during ganks.

I'm playing venomancer like a supporter.
just spam your wards and swim in the gold.

aghanim's scepter
shiva
phase boots/travel
sheepstick

then excape for lothar's

then you casted a poison nova, your teammates will kill your enemies.

venomancer is all about these. why do you need an orb efect?

manta is bad for veno. so you were lucky.

and you seriously need mana regen. perseverance -> linken

and you're a ganker. so BoT > PT

perhaps lothar if you need to escape.

but mkb and buriza is right (late game).

and late game he's a DPS-er. a satanic will help. or HoT.

Veno's only role is not slow and dot, he is also a good dpser. He is an agi, has improvable attack animation. Maelstrom's upgrade to Mjo is definately worth it, 35 agility and 35 damage turns him into a monster, radi is not good imho, the lightning I believe produces a much more damaging effect on groups of creeps. And it works godly on heroes as well. Manta, I tried just does not work. I would suggest:

Skadi
EoS (that poison is overrideble late game, but early game it is a great harassing tool)
