The World and I (Updated to Part 8)

Hello fellow members of DS. This is my first FanFic and I hope you guys enjoy my writing style. I got the inspiration for this story from the book “ Soon I will be Invincible” by Austin Grossman

For the sake of the story, the world of DotA will be referred as Earth. Also there will be foul language in this story. Not that I don’t have the vocabulary to substitute the words for more profound language… it just adds to the atmosphere IMO.

The World and I

Phase 1
The World Today

This morning back on planet Earth, there are ninety seven gifted or otherwise “superpowered” beings. Of these ninety seven, four are retired; “The gambler”, “Old Naix”, “Old Silencer” and the always mystifying “Old invoker” Of the ninety three that are still kick, forty seven of them are fighting against crime and the rest are fighting to commit them. Nicely separating the two sides into the sentinel and the scourge.

There are thirty three beings that depend on magic as their ultimate source of power. Thirty one of them depend on their amazing agility to shred people to bits. And there is always the other twenty nine weridos who use their muscles to brawl. I really don’t understand them.
Our of the thirty three who depend on their magical powers, nine of which have a IQ over 300; and I just happened to be one of them.

I really don’t know what makes me evil. I still cannot understand why I want to dominate the world so much. People tell me it’s a kind of sickness, I tell them to shut or I’ll blow their heads off. The only way I can explain why, is probably because when you and you alone stand on the top of the bell curve, you tend to do things less logical. Not saying what I do is unreasonable, every single part of my plans are carrier out in absolute perfection. I don’t even let the picoseconds go. However every time, when my master plan is just about to complete, something out of the ordinary happens. Perhaps it is true, good really does triumphs over evil. But I doubt that.

I have tried to take over this god forsaken world more times than you can say “evil genius master mind” in one breath without choking to death. I have tried to mind control, freezing the world tree, hold the fountain hostage, even tried to create an army out of NPC’s. All have failed, now I have lost everything. My girlfriend, my power staff, my freedom, and my under ground fortress. You see, the biggest problem is not my plans; it’s more the opposition and my allies.

Oh, I almost forgot to introduce myself. I am Dazzel, people call me the Shadow Priest but that is only a side job. Now back to the topic of why I failed so many times, even though I keep telling you I am a genius. On Earth at this moment, there is an epic battle going on. I say epic but it’s actually more passive than that. My side, the scourge has more chance at winning the prize for best looks than win this war. Each side has a “big five” The so called leaders of the pack. On the sentinel side they got Lina Inverse the Slayer ( Their captain), Zeus- Lord of Olympia, Squee and Spleen- The Goblin Techies, Kardel Sharpeye- The Dwarven Sniper, and last but not least Purist Thunderwrath- The Omniknight. On my poignant side we got, Kel’Thuzad- The lich ( The Captain), Balanar- The knight Stalker, Bone Clinks- The Bone Fletcher, Pudge the Butcher, Strygwyr the Bloodseeker.

I mean seriously, how do we compete with that? The sentinel got all the personality, looks and even their names are cooler. How do you pronounce Kel’Thuzad anyways? We are fighting with swords and shields while they got guns and bombs damn it! We have guys that are mentally unstable, mainly Bone Clinks…the guy is chucks bones at you, what is his problem? We have guys that is already tested positive with AIDS. We have a guy that eats people, how would you think that plays out in the media? Anyways, as incompetent as my leaders are they are still my leaders. I would love to blow they heads off... but that would create mass civil unrest. And also who will be there to take punches from the "big five"?
