when you go to the site, there is a userbar thing on the bottom of the screen (you might need to update a flashplayer or something, not sure though), then when you log in the dot on the userbar will turn green and tell you how many people are in chat (hint: 1 since noone ever gets in it and you will be the only one) so you can click on the chat button and the chat window opens

ds.net isn't what it used to be, it only got really popular when ds.com went down, and the when ds.com came back it kinda died, also the chat box getting changed also affecting things
