Somebody help my PC !

Well, I was watching a replay when a few minutes before ending, it was hang and nothing can be done. Then I restarted my computer by pressing the restart button at the CPU. Then I was playing O2jam when suddenly it hanged again and I pressed alt+ctrl+del which caused it to exit to desktop. And strangely, the desktop pixels was changed! I fixed it and restarted with checking error once again. Then I ran WC III. But no sooner than the WC III main menu had appeared, the computer hanged again. Then I restarted again and even REINSTALL the WC III ! But it hanged again when I tried to run it! Then I restarted again and now it can't even be loged in (cant be run). Whooaaaa, can somebody help me? T.T || Nb: any other programs worked well before and my computer never hanged before. Thx in advance.

1.Virus
2.It hanged cause of a non-quality replay.You cant restart the system when dota is running(and the other applications of course)
If you restart/switch of when dota is running the computer will be -bleep- up.Windows wont logg in and you will have to get to safe mode for a system restore or FORMAT.
There is much chance that a virus/es exists in the hard disk.
Ive done system restore to a friend's computer when the same problem occured and fixed it.
Make sure you dont have 2 anti-virus programs running
And yes if all these wont work the only thing that saves you is a format or a HD change.And you are -bleep- up as heaven says.

Well, if your computer hang like that, I think...
- IT's not the WC3 problem.
--> it might when you restart your pc, it damage the windows/hdd.

1. Try to scandisk it.
- if there's bad sectors, repair/mark it. Those could make your PC hang. [One of my HD is broke down because of that... that's why I know]

-- if previous solution does not solve the problem.
2. Try to restore your system.
- It's on start\all programs\accessories\system tools\system restore

-- if previous solution does not solve the problem.
3. scan for viruses.
4. Check at Task Manager [ctrl + left shift + esc].
- see at tab "Processes"
- see if there's application that it's mem usage is too big with your user name.
- see if there's unknown application with your user name.
-end task them
NOTE:
- IExplorer = Internet explorer.
- Explorer = Windows Explorer.
- Winword = Ms. Word [or outlook].
- ctfmon = from system.
- devenv = VS.net [this one eat a lot of mem usage too, XD]
[for the rest you can end task them and see what application that you kill]
- If you want to kill "system" user name is alright, cause appl like scvhost is killable [it's for networking if I'm not wrong]
it only restart your pc if the one you kill is main system application [I forgot which, I've tried once, LOL].
- You had to kill the application everytime you login, except you already kill the source at previous session.
- This is if there's virus or overwhelming application that disturb your system.

still not solved the problem?
well, if there's no bad sectors,
formating should solve the problem, but I do not suggest that ,
because there's a lot of experts out there that should be able to solve the problem
But if you still want to format your system, remember to back up your data.

check the following

do your total disk usage exceed 80% of total hard disk space?

do you have former program that got uninstalled?

have you checked for viruses?

why di i ask you this?

1. having to many files can cost hang ups

2. uninstalled program still leavs regisry (like imprints) that still eats up memory usage

3. viruses eats up memory usage

try looking for an XP registry cleaning program on the internet

try derfraging your hard drive to shrink down hard drive usage

constatnly scan your hard drive for viruses

use mozilla firefox for internet connection security (unpaid advertisement wah)

if still not able to be fixed try reformatting...

if still not able to do it replace the hard drive (some freezing is due to hardware problems)

Thx a lot guys. Now my PC isn't hanged any longer. I restored the setting to 2 days before and til now, it has been working well. So thx a lot... again! Esp for those who had explained quite detail. (actually I don't understand PC that much, and I just like its game and 'restore system' is new for me)
