Picture Thread II

Feb13 and 14. Lunch date with my new girl didn't pull through, but she gave me Valentine's chocolates :D. I'll get her yet. Played laser tag with my friends, pig'd out, then got happy drunk. Shit was SO cash.

So this is the new and official picture thread?

Picture of books:

I love the way shiny new books look. They invariably get shabby and ugly after a week or so since I shove them into my bag very carelessly and sling them around with pencils and other sharp, pointy, and book-damaging objects all day.

Tes, that is Twilight. I'm weak around discounts -- particularly when it comes to books. I have also finished Twilight. I've pretty much ranted about the book for two days straight to everyone I know, so I'm too burnt out to rant here, but it suffices to say:

Twilight by Stephanie Meyer is AIDS on paper.

I read it because I felt bad about insulting the book all the time when I really didn't have any firsthand knowledge of it. Now I can insult it all I like. Isn't that nice?

In a desperate attempt to cover the scars that Twilight left, I went and bought MORE books today:

New books always cheer me up. :]

I remember somebody recommending American Gods to me, but I can't remember who. I was a bit on the fence about this purchase: the cover, the blurb, and the very brief words of praise from less-than-prestigious sources make it look way, way too much like a typical thriller. I generally don't do typical thrillers.

You should read "Jurassic Park" by Michael Crichton. Best book I've read in a long time.

Quick everyone, judge Boots for buying Twilight! Judge her!

I was the one who recommended American Gods; get Stardust, get everything written by Neil Gaiman.

@King: Gym accident.

Well the book to movie translation was not as bad as say, da vinci code or that Prince Caspian movie... It was more like Jaws where the movie did some justice to the novel IMO..
nice pics. Hehe you look like someone Hella goofy and a horndog irl.. Hysterical

@Books: Jurassic Park might be a good idea -- last time I read that book was about ten years ago, and I can't remember what it's about anymore. =P

I'll read American Gods soon -- you can't judge a book by its cover, I guess.

IMO Orocchin should smile in his photos... you know, like a normal person.
