How a Godzilla Challenge Works & Making an Entry

What is the Godzilla Challenge?
The Godzilla Challenge is a Item Idea-making competition named after one of this site's foremost Item Idea makers... blast it, just look at my avatar already.

When and how does it work?
It runs once every one or two months, the theme/constraints are released in the first couple of days and then people are given about 2 weeks to get their submissions in - after this time, the voting starts.

How do I submit an Item?
To submit an Item, all you need to do is make an Item that complies to the Godzilla Challenge theme/constraints and post it in a separate topic in this forum - THEN in your My Strategies page, replicate the Item there (making sure you submit it when you're finished). Having done that, come to the current Godzilla Challenge thread (this isn't it) and post a link to your Item's topic that you made earlier.



How do I vote?
When voting open, a new thread is made and you have 2 weeks give or take a Wednesday (when Royalty publishes Items).

The top four items will be selected from the submissions by the blue people and a Closed Poll will start (meaning that nobody can see the votes - speaking up about your vote will annoy us).

Whatever it is we decide, the winner will ultimately be chosen by the rest of the site.

@last dota freak!

you can just make ur own icons by finding an image through something like google images and then using something as basic as Paint to cut and paste it all together

thats basically what i did for my previous hero idea except i got icons that were already made and just inverted the colors to make it fit my theme

What if you have made an item previously and wish to submit it for the Godzilla challenge?

(I already have ideas for next months challenge but i'm tempted to post them now >.<)

You can post a previously-submitted item as long as it fits in with the constraints, ie Undead and 4500g max right now. I'd rather you didn't find an item you previously POSTED IN THE FORUM, because everyone will have seen that. I would say limit it to submitted-but-not-posted ones.

As for spare ideas... either stockpile them, or post everything you want and make a fresh one once the new challenge comes up. Besides, you might not have the constraints right (unless you were paying attention to Ghost in which case you do have the constraints).
