Unfortunately due to my lazyness I am submitting this after someone else already produced a sand troll idea. However mine is much different, and actual a remake of an older hero of mine some of you might actual remember. In light of me knowing that long paragraphs are a dieing art, here he is...


Sagre - The Sandreaver Troll

Fabled in tribal handbooks is a race of trolls known as the sandreavers. Most stories depict them as 50 foot tall monstrosities capable of lifting entire deserts, but again are only fables. In reality, a very well known expeditionary troop was wandering the desert for reported "hidden" sources of water. This tribe came to one such water source and began to investigate further, upon investigation they found a corpse entirely filled with sand as if its body had been hollowed out and organs replaced with the lifeblood of the desert. Out of literally no where a figure burst from the ground, wearing a cloak and hood, with tusks protruding from it like two curved blades, and caused a large amount of blackish sand-like subtance to cover the faces and limbs of the troop within seconds. It then began to attack the troop with a sicke or scythe of somesort and swung rapidly at its victims, at some points it appeared to have missed its primary target and then somehow struck down 3 instead. It was nearly impossible to attack becasue it was constantly rasising a shield of debri, almost suffocating those who tride to melee it or affect it with fire and tar. Without note, after it received a few wounds it vanished back into the dust of the void, leaving behind several dead in the troop and no trace of it ever existing. Needless to say the expidtion ended right there and the troop only spoke of it once before they departed back to their homeland.

Ebon Storm (E)
Sagre unleashes a torrent of sand and dirt composed of the soil it stands on and part of its own body hindering foes and obscuring their vision, but causing itself harm in the process. Has a 475 AoE.

Level 1 - Causes all enemy targets affected, and itself, to be blinded, causing a 18% chance to miss on attacks. Also slows enemy targets by 12% and deals 8 damage a second to Sagre. Lasts 9 seconds.
Level 2 - Causes all enemy targets affected, and itself, to be blinded, causing a 26% chance to miss on attacks. Also slows enemy targets by 20% and deals 12 damage a second to Sagre. Lasts 9 seconds.
Level 3 - Causes all enemy targets affected, and itself, to be blinded, causing a 34% chance to miss on attacks. Also slows enemy targets by 28% and deals 16 damage a second to Sagre. Lasts 9 seconds.
Level 4 - Causes all enemy targets affected, and itself, to be blinded, causing a 42% chance to miss on attacks. Also slows enemy targets by 36% and deals 20 damage a second to Sagre. Lasts 9 seconds.
Slow lasts 4.5 seconds.

Mana Cost: 105/120/135/150
Cooldown: 16

Framework: Black swirly effect around Sagre, then some sand residue left on the ground.

How it works : So you cast this, its AoE is centered around you like slardars stun and hoof, etc. It blinds you and the target and causes the target to become slowed for half the duration of the spell, and you to take damage, actuall sets up all of your other skills.


Hallow (W)
By some means of mysticism Sandreavers can hollow out a targets body by mimicing their organs as sand for a short period of time. This causes no basic harm, but produces a funnel like effect when the target is injured dealing 75% of the damage they take in a 500 AoE.

Level 1 - Lasts 4.5 seconds, and the skill is refreshed every 16 sources of damage the target takes. If this is casted on a target who already has it in effect, a charge is added to the effect increasing the AoE of the effect by 20 each charge.
Level 2 - Lasts 4.5 seconds, and the skill is refreshed every 14 sources of damage the target takes. If this is casted on a target who already has it in effect, a charge is added to the effect increasing the AoE of the effect by 30 each charge.
Level 3 - Lasts 4.5 seconds, and the skill is refreshed every 12 sources of damage the target takes. If this is casted on a target who already has it in effect, a charge is added to the effect increasing the AoE of the effect by 40 each charge.
Level 4 - Lasts 4.5 seconds, and the skill is refreshed every 10 sources of damage the target takes. If this is casted on a target who already has it in effect, a charge is added to the effect increasing the AoE of the effect by 50 each charge.
Maximum of 10 charges. If one of the charges expires they all expire.

Mana Cost: 85
Cooldown: 12/10/8/6

Framework: Status Icon.
Notes: Can be very usefull if you can refresh it constantly.

How it works : Cast this on a target (you, an ally, an enemy) and 75% of the damage they take will be dealt in a large AoE. However it only lasts for a short period, but it is capable of refreshing the duration if the target takes enough damage soruces, i.e. if you have ebon strom casted and armlet of mord and cast this on yourself, over the 4.5 seconds those will count for 8 damage sources so you will only need 2 more to refresh it, kinda simply and complicated at the same time.


Mirage Blade (M)
Sagres sickle has propterties unique to the flow and heat of the sand of the desert creating a mirage, allowing to to hit mutiple targets when it appears to miss completely, also will passively trigger damage in an AoE if you go unharmed.

Level 1 - Deals 75% of your normal damage as pure damage in a 350 AoE if you were to miss, have your damage blocked (partially or fully), or deal no damage at all. Also after 4 seconds of not being attack you deal 1/3 your damage every 1 second until attacked.
Level 2 - Deals 75% of your normal damage as pure damage in a 375 AoE if you were to miss, have your damage blocked (partially or fully), or deal no damage at all. Also after 3.5 seconds of not being attack you deal 1/3 your damage every 1 second until attacked.
Level 3 - Deals 90% of your normal damage as pure damage in a 375 AoE if you were to miss, have your damage blocked (partially or fully), or deal no damage at all. Also after 3 seconds of not being attack you deal 1/3 your damage every 1 second until attacked.
Level 4 - Deals 90% of your normal damage as pure damage in a 400 AoE if you were to miss, have your damage blocked (partially or fully), or deal no damage at all. Also after 2.5 seconds of not being attack you deal 1/3 your damage every 1 second until attacked.

Framework: Tannish pulse every time the 1/2 damage part of the skill goes off.
Notes: Being attacked does not mean being damaged, so if they miss you it still counts as them attacking.

How it works : If you miss the target (due to evasion or your spell) or if your damage is blocked (i.e backtrack, apothetic shield etc.) this deals 90% of the intended damage in an aoe and is pure, so its a huge buff to your damage if you can manage that. Plus if you go unharmed for a while (like if you had hallow on and the target didnt want to take that much damage for attacking you) then it starts to hurt them based on your physical damage very second until they decide to atack.


Dune Cloak (C)
Sagres body is in tune with the dunes it was formed from, being capable of producing a large amount of sand to protect its body from uncomfortable situations.

Level 1 - Lasts 20 seconds. Whenever an effect is placed on you all allied targets within a 650 AoE are healed for 3% fo your total life. Whenever an effect ends on you all enemy targets are dealt 10 damage and are stunned for .1 seconds for each second the effect lasted in a 650 AoE.
Level 2 - Lasts 25 seconds. Whenever an effect is placed on you all allied targets within a 650 AoE are healed for 3.75% fo your total life. Whenever an effect ends on you all enemy targets are dealt 15 damage and are stunned for .15 seconds for each second the effect lasted in a 650 AoE.
Level 3 - Lasts 30 seconds. Whenever an effect is placed on you all allied targets within a 650 AoE are healed for 4.5% fo your total life. Whenever an effect ends on you all enemy targets are dealt 20 damage and are stunned for .2 seconds for each second the effect lasted in a 650 AoE.

Mana Cost: 160/210/280
Cooldown: 120/105/90

Framework: Sand swirls around you like a large ion shell.

How it works : Basically like it says, if you have an effect placed on you be it friendly or foe (like living armor as a firendly spell, or shadow strike as an enemy spell) it heals in a pretty large area. Once those effects end it deals damage and stuns based on the duration the effect lasted (would be really good with living armor come to think of it) if this spell ends before the duration of the other spell is up, then it deals the damage anyways for however long it was on you.

There you have it folks, this is my bard challenge for MArch, so tell me whats imba (im sure there is something) na dany other changes or whatnot that need to happen, please and thank you.

Yay GW! I made 3 mesmer heroes Very Happy One was accepted but I'm still waiting on my two others.

I like this hero, it is a bit confusing though and the description of your ult has nothing to do with its effects :P You talk about a shield of sand, but then it heals your allies? Kinda random... You should also take off the spell being activated by friendly buffs (except your own spells), this would make it totally imba!

Another explanation that makes no sense to me is Hallow. How can you take out someone's organs, replace them with sand and not directly harm them?

The spells all work really well together and are pretty balanced but the explanations don't really match, that's my only big concern.

It would be horrible to face this guy with Tidehunter as an ally, since Kraken would partially block every single one of this guys attacks - so being near Tidehunter would be very painful.
