depending on the game for me really, i start with Gloves of Haste on alleria...

3 gauntlets and 2 tangoes on n'aix

14 clarities and a tp scroll on techies....

i just get boots and 2 clarities (following Shim's guide) for techies Bleh!

and on Tiny i get Robe of the Magi, branch, and a flask (i rush Eul's)

only person i get Gloves of Haste as the starting item is Lich or Warlock(along with a branch that later goes for mek). mana isnt a problem with Dark Ritual and/or wise mana usage and if u dont play stupid/face tough opponents u can generally stay at full hp (easier with Warlock for obvious reasons). and then i rush Hand of Midas, gank, support, etc.

lol, i guess taht understandable since he can have mana regen early on OR high damage Bleh!

Yeah with the +18 damage by level 3 you are uncomparable in early game auto attack dps except for visage.

Oh... i did, well for future reference just assume i am an idiot.
