I prefer Ranged since you can deal heavy damage even as the opponent is running away. Also it's easier to annoy opponents to no end when they're melee. Smile

Although, I do like Davion as well since he's kind of both.

I think if you can prove yourself on the field as a melee hero vs. a ranged hero that will prove someone's skill, because anyone can harass as a ranged hero. And there's just so much more you have to be prepared for as a melee. Example: anyone can run up and use Lina's ultimate from half a screen away and nuke someone, but to sneak up on someone and even get to the point where you can perma-bash someone, takes alot more forethought.

Aside from that thought though I prefer ranged simply because my favorite hero is Razor.

both are excellent, i can't decide. Melee heroes are brave and fight at the front but are always easy targets. Ranged Heroes are cowards that hide behind but can always harass. i guess you should use what fits your personality.

It all depends at the seriousness of the game. If I'm playing against the more "skilled" friends I have, and they get melee and i get a range hero, they counter it by buying a ring of health or spamming tangos. It's kind of annoying when it comes to harassing AND lasthitting creeps. However I prefer STR heroes if I'm playing mellee because I dont feel I need to buy Ring of Health or RoR, I just spam tangos instead.

Dragon Knight regen FTW! Very Happy

For safety of course i play ranged. Anyways it really depends. Especially if -AP and you're the last one to pick. You have to see first who you are up with then base from that you choose. well i prefer melee heroes than ranged. UP CLOSE and PERSONAL. lol

i prefer meele. ranged are pusys. and there's no ranged str. hero. and almost all ranged are not best lategamers, while most mele are... so i prefer 3 m,ele in team and 2 ranged...

takes .01 the good melee player's skill to play with a ranged hero. I play both, and pick range if i just want a game before i go to sleep, but owning with a melee hero (f-void >_> ) is far, far more rewarding
