I prefer Range than melee heroes on 1 on 1 battle. Harassing, farming and denying that's the key on early game. If you lost at early game, it's so hard to pull back in 1 on 1 battle.

Definitely melee... The most terrifying (Broodmother, N'aix, SKx2) are melee... The stealthiest are melee (SA, BH)... The fastest are melee (SB, SG)...

Anyway, I'm pretty sure the facts have been given... But I would chose melee if not for any other reason, because they are harder to kill... Its easier to spot trouble/potential targets when your melee... Think, a ranged unit's screen focuses in front of him, making him vulnerable. A melee heroes screen has the hero dead center...

i'm torn in between because my fav sent heroes are mostly ranged but my fav scrouge heroes are mostly melee... Sad

anyway, i'd go ranged heroes for the 'serious' type of games and melee heroes for the 'fun while pawning a$$e$' type of games... Laughing

Clinks is ealsily used by n00bz, but pros can kill you swiftly with clinks in a matter of seconds.

People keep saying "Clinks~ ah, he's n00b" but at the end of the day, they'll say "F---! clinks owned us, damn it!"

Agi~Ranged can own at any time, depending on the situation.

well... i like using range heroes... as i said all my favorite heroes are ranged type... and also i dont want to face a range hero in a battle especially if i'm using a melee hero...

Melee. Especially when I'm using Raigor. If some ranged hero goes after me all I need to do is go near (about 400 units before him) , fissure, go right next to him, Enchant Totem, attack, then for the not always so sure kill I use Echo Slam when the creeps have come. If he escaped, but with very little HP I fissure him one last time.

I think both are the same, since it's depend on the player(s) - (both skill and how many player(s)).

So? I don't prefer anything ( this is also because I can use most heroes - can use not can play well/excellent )

well, axe is true worth for harrassing [even he is a melee], but I don't know about leviatan, only his slow I think...

axe would be perfect if against melee that is, but counter helix wouldnt be too helpful against ranged, not if you manage to get near though...

Well, yes,
Axe perfect for agains melee,
but counter helix has range about 200 or so [need confirmation]
and, for that range, all axe need is move a little closer.
and most of all, I mostly can do well for harrassing using axe
[mostly cause it's hard to harrass range stunner hero]

i personally prefer ranged coz easily can harrass and push at the early game.. haha most impotantly can mostly owned all melee hero at the early game

It depends, if i play with my friends i have learnt their weaknesses. that's beside the point but in a random, i tend to repick if i get a melee hero.

I am better adapted at ranged heros, but i do find it hard to play in the early game. execption of dwraven sniper.
