Chapter 25 Prophets gone?

It looked like a vision, Gondar concurred, as the midst was all around the place, with he himself having little to no memory of what is going on.

“Precise,” a voice said as Gondar came to that exact conclusion.

“Prophet? What brings you to my dreams?” asked the bewildered bounty hunter at his unexpected guest.

“I came to inform you the visions of your past will cease to happen for you have change the future to come.” following that, the bounty hunter let out a breathe of relief.

“I presume there is more to the reason you are here?” said the bounty hunter calmly and clearly.

“My soul has left my body behind.” said the first prophet.

The sentence didn’t reach Gondar at first, either that or that he was not shock by that truth. The bounty hunter stayed silent, waiting for the old man to continue his grim story.

“The Scourge came, in armies, not in league with the siege-party. They raided the place where I call home; I thought I had evaded them when I fled after seeing them approach from a distance. But even I cannot escape from the hand of fate and death, greeting it with both hands open was the only thing I could do.”

“If I’m right, are there no more prophets left?” asked the bounty hunter even though he had guessed the answer.

“I thought Furion would take my place as the greatest and most powerful prophet of this world, but fate has eluded me and took that away, now the world is without a prophet at all.”

“What would be the damage of this catastrophe?”

“I’ll leave that for you to find out, the chaos spreaded by the Scourge is getting out of hand, Gondar, I’m sorry to say, I have to leave this heavy burden on your shoulders, I truly am sorry…”

Before the bounty hunter said another word, the soul of the first prophet was gone, away from this world, heading towards the afterlife. Gondar’s own eyes saw it clearly, the image of the old man slowly faded as the prophet walk towards the great beyond. The bounty hunter gave a silent prayer as the image of the once thought immortal prophet finally leaves forever.

Sorry for the long wait, but my exams are over, theis is a short one to buy some time for me to right more.
