Chapter 26 Dark Plans

There was a table in the middle of this dark room, where the lights gloom from the corners all the wall, a bluish green light creating an eerie effect on all but the table, The table wasn’t really special, but the way it was made were, the material that made the dark table was dumped in a pool of corpse decomposing for days already, having a handful of experienced necromancer’s spending a month’s time to solidify the infusion, souls that were unable to escape were trapped, cursed stay behind in the living world within the table. Currently, there is only one being used, as a security system, to stop any eavesdropper from hearing, forever.

A figure came in the room, though the narrow hallway, followed by two other, the first spread chills all over the already cold room, every breath he made cause the air to freeze; the other was an orc, with blood still lingering on his crimson-red flesh, eyes glowed with an undying green glow; the last can be recognized by anyone who was here since the last century, once a wise and noble prophetess, but has gone corrupted due to the greed all mortals have.

They were Kel’Thuzad, Lion and Krobelus, respectively, the three most important strategists, generals, and casters all the Scourge. One being a faithful servant of the almighty Lich King, one a demon witch banished from the his tribe long ago for a covered-up murder which involved hundreds, the last a risen prophetess from the dead as the Scourge’s dead prophet.

The Lich King’s most trusted servant interrupted the long silence, “Have you both finish with your unneeded suspicions?”

“The plan was unsuccessful only because the phantom assassin found out about the bounty hunter’s movement in the library.” said Lion, cursing silently in his head.

“As I said, a blood elf should never be trusted when it comes to power, their thirst is unquenchable, you shouldn’t give your spy so much power.” Krobelus spoke, shooing a serious yet calm look towards Kel’Thuzad.

“You all had your chance in proving so, but you both have failed, too much resource had been waste in the both of your attempts to reveal what that has never was!” said the Scourge’s most feared leader with all his authority.

Lion, admitting defeat, said, “So, should we terminate the bounty hunter, before it gets messy?”

“No, I disagree, leave him be, we must concentrate on what’s important right now, the master plan is nearing.” said Krobelus, not wanting to halt her plans.

The three sat where the chairs should be placed, but instead an invisible force held them up, the plans were summoned by Kel’Thuzad as his asked for it, kept safe by his strongest, most vicious spells, he unlocked the powerful bind and let the plan show itself.
Before the planning commence, Krobelus added to her argument, “Mortals are never thrust-worthy, only those who died have the right to be trusted, I’ve learned my lesson, I hoped you never have to,” ending with a wicked smile.

Kel’Thuzad ignored it and began, but the once human necromancer could not help but felt a chill going down his own frozen spine, as he had develop a suspicion of his servant unknowingly. “Invoker, are you having you own devious plans?” was the thought he had.

Chapter 27 Five years later

I am a monster, but was once a civilized human, now I plague those imbeciles, I kill them at first sight, I will not rest still all are slaughtered, faces unrecognizable, they don’t deserve to live, those wretched fools, creating havoc and chaos through little things yet blaming us, the Scourge for most of it, I shall kill them all, I shall kill them all.

“It’s Pudge! Run!” was what I hear every time I go slaughtering, so it was never as arousing as before, where the cries and pleas of the victims made the kill so much more savoring. Though this time I am not in this town for that kind of pleasure, my masters have commanded me to “deal” with some sentries that hid near our camps. The last one is hiding here some where.

Suddenly, I found her, she looks stronger than the others, she concealed herself well, but to no avail, she hasn’t seen me, looks like she is underestimating me, most of my enemies do, and it always leads to their demise. I shouted out with crude language, “Where you ranger? I want KILL” the last word came slowly and clearly, filled with lust and not a hint of hesitation.

I swung my oversized body, releasing the hook which rest itself within my or my victim’s flesh that surround my internals, the hook was attached to me since I became what I am now, forged with dark magic, and carved with needle-like precision, a weapon I been using for the past twenty years. “Twenty years, its been that long,” that thought ran through me, a monster for so long, when shall I be rid of this curse, this torture, this inhuman body, the Scourge promised me that soon I could be back to normal, in a human state, but till now…

I dismissed that thought, as in the battlefield, one should be completely focused. The hook stoke the ranger’s body, I saw her blood splattered as the hook punctured her skin beneath the cloak, tainting the trees where she hid, she was instantly stuck to the hook, I swung my massive body once more and reeled the hook back with the ranger.

As my prey drew closer, I noticed it was Traxex, one of the best rangers in the Sentinel, I could help but slobber al over my already disgusting mouths. I held my butcher knife tightly even with the loss of fingers, she was so close, I could smell the kill if I still had my nose. Blade and skin almost touch, but something swoop her away as she was a foot away from me, from the looks of it, the thing was fast, I couldn’t even stop it, the hook was knocked into the hard and bloody ground, from the crack that it made, I knew the thing was strong.

It stood there, facing its back to me; another is underestimating me, a huge mistake the being is making. Its cloak hang from head to toe, he was wasn’t really big, nor did he look strong, he tended to the drow ranger’s wounds as if I’m not here, I took the opportunity to reel my hook back, readying myself for the second strike. To further demine myself; I called out, “Me Kill!”

To my surprise, the figure responded, “Pudge, stop the acting, I know your sophisticated and intelligent, you been hiding that since the day you become that thing, everyone thought you’re just another lackey, how they underestimate you till they fall, but I hope you don’t make the same mistake like them as clever as you are.”

I was shocked, the being saw through my bigger ruse, I shot the hook as fast as I could, hoping to end this, I was filled with anger, and fear for the first time.

It happen so fast, the hook flew straight towards him, there was no dodging it as the drow ranger was being him. There was a loud and piercing clash between blades. The figure had drew two long, curved blades with stopped the hook from touching its back, the being barely moved, and the hook had lost its momentum and fell.

“Never underestimate your enemy; I thought you of all beings would have learned that,”

Rage surged through my thick veins, my body was forced to act on itself, with all weapons raised, flesh rotting uncontrollably, with my jaws un front an opened, I charge at my enemy manically without putting thought into the current situation.

Even though my eyes saw it coming, I had loss control of my body to stop it. The figure stayed at its position and fired two objects at me, it went through my thick and abnormal flesh and hit an organ, when I got close to him, and he disappeared with Traxex. It ended fast, blades closed it from behind, locked on my neck, with a simple cut, and I was down and out of the battle.

Taking in what maybe my final breath, I spoke exactly like the human I once was, “You're Gondar,”

“If the Scourge knew about your intelligence, a difference could have been made, my last words to you as the bounty hunter.”

End of chapter
