Chapter 14

Entering the temporary jail once more,Razor,Luna,Purist and Magina had went in with the hopes of finding clues to Zeus's disappearance.The only thing they found was that his jail cell poles were sliced to allow room to walk through.

On closer inspection,Magina noticed that on the dirty,dusty and old ground,there was a spot in the middle where there was absolutely no dirt or dust.Magina had realized what had took place.A teleportation scroll was used.If so,then the destination must be a place not near the Sentinel base.

"The Scourge." he thought.

He told the others what he had found out and decided that they should inform his father about all they knew about the brotherhood.

In Furion's tent,he had enough problems to handle,with the disappearance of a traitor and a general,it could run the risk of a Scourge attack.He couldn't help but think maybe Zeus had gotten out and kidnapped Davion.Or Davion went to the prison and got Zeus out instead.Either way,they were missing.

"I can't believe it!First a traitor went missing,who knows what he might do for revenge.Secondly a general goes missing as well!Imagine what the Scourge could do with a Sentinel.They would tear his mind up and eat all of his secrets!Davion is an important general in my army,I will not allow him to be captured and never returned."

"Father please calm down.Let's think about the situation.We can rule out the possibility that Zeus had escaped by himself because the prison poles were sliced,and there was a teleportation circle,meaning he didn't have to leave the prison.But having said so,where would he get a teleportation scroll?"

"Its possible Davion might have went to rescue him.After all Furion milord,if you don't my saying,but I feel that you have wronged Zeus."

"Yes Purist,I might have noticed a bit of innocence in Zeus,but he was the only one who could be responsible for the murder.Unless..."

"Yes Furion,Gondar and Nortrom...they are traitors.That's what we're here to tell you."

"What do you mean Razor?The organization?Those 2 are part of it?Then that explains why the 2 of them brought the 3 of you back from the events at Northern gate."

"If there is any history on this organization maybe,just maybe,we can find out where they are and get Davion and Zeus back."

Furion nodded and brought them to the Ancient Library,where scrolls and scrolls of history were hand-written on.A single piece of information in one of those scrolls could have saved thousands of lives.

"Do you have any clue about when,where and how this organization was formed?"

"No...we don't even have a name.But we do know from Gondar that it has existed before the war against the Scourge was started."

Furion kept silent and looked at a section under 'Pre-war'.He looked through many different scrolls detailing all the peaceful events in the Sentinel before the Scourge had started the war with them.Finally,he found one which told of an ancient clan which had banded together to stop an evil power from growing.

"The organization,was known as the Keepers.They had banded together when they had discovered that their powers could be united to form a destructive power.There were 10 of them in total,and they were unstoppable together.But eventually,their power got a hold of them and they argued more and more.Some time later,the organization split into 2 sides,and fought against each other.Eventually both sides were destroyed after 10 rigorous days of fighting.Only one member had survived,but not much is known about him,only that he leads the organization now with our generation of warriors,under the name...Black Hand."

"Hmm..There is not much about the current leader.Maybe we can find out more about the other members?"

Furion headed back to the same section he had found the scroll,put it back and took out the scroll beside it.

"It seems the 10 members came from very different backgrounds.The first,was Ezalor's father.He too was a keeper of light and only one of the members to use keeper in their names.The second,is a dragon.One of the only dragons who was able to communicate with humans and elves.He was noble and intelligent,having foresight some of the members did not have.The third is..."

Furion's expression turned perplexed.He looked through the scroll a few more times before looking up at the 4 curious faces.

"The third is...Razor's father,the late lightning revenant."
