Does blademail account for damage amplification?
Posted: Mon Feb 26, 2007 5:07 pmSuppose a hero uses frenzy or activates mask of madness so it takes more damage.
If the hero has blade mail will the increased damage it takes be returned?
If your armor is reduced so you take more damage is the increased damage returned?
I guess the real question is when is the 20% damage returned calculated? I'm guessing the damage calculation goes through something that looks like this:
Damage Dealt by Enemy -> Damage Modification (Armor or Frenzy increased damage effect) -> Damage Taken
Does the blade mail damage return fit in after the 1st step (Blade mail unaffected by damage amplifications) or after the 2nd step (Blade mail affected by damage amplifications)?

Damage Dealt By Enemy -> Return Damage -> Armor Reduction -> Damage taken by you
Lets say the enemy deals 100 damage. You return 20 damage. Your armor reduction is 50%. You take 50 damage.
