On which heroes is Poor Man's Shield Good?

On which heroes is Poor Man's Shield Good? Is it any good on ranged heroes? Is it possible to skip wraiths on AGI heroes and get this with some branches instead?

Yes, you may you heroes like Ursa and Riki and the weaker ones.

Poor Man's Shield is made for Axe.

Yes, it is Axe's first item. A -20 damage reduction (on melee) is really useful since heroes don't do so much damage in early game.

pretty much the same fragile early game/ownage late game heroes that can really utilize Quelling Blade. Mort, Troll, Void....

2 stouts on axe > PMS in my opinion. It doesnt upgrade to anything, and no further use..

getting it on mortred/void/spec/troll will be fine since they spend a long time farming unlike axe who will get vanguard in less than 10 minutes.. not to mention the +6 agi they will benefit from..

Axe would only need PMS at early game and get some quick early kills while getting minimum damage from the creeps and heroes.

What about PMS on ranged AGI like Clinkz and Sniper? Worth it?
PMS shouldn't be gotten on non-AGI heroes IMO. The +6 Agi is wasted.

Axe should get Vanguard. End of that. Continue with PMS, not Axe.

Melee heroes not going vanguard,

i dont lke PMS on Axe, because 1 vanguard's damage block is better and enough. agility abit wasted and vanguard is just too worth (1HP regen and 50HP when u combine 3 items good for axe)

on ranged hero is also bad. 10 damage, lol?

also depends on situation, against hero like ALC or Shadow priest, stout can make u almost immune to their DOT spells.

yes, in some cases axe isn't proper to take PMS. Magina, medusa, ursa, rikimaru, mortred and spectre can make PMS their core item
