Complexity vs Team Pandemic
Posted on Wed Feb 28, 2007 12:24 pmThis is not my replay but I want you guys to watch this worthy replay.
Game 1: Pandemic (Sentinel) vs Complexity (Scourge)
TFT 1.20
Maps : 6.37
Pandemic:
JollyJoker[P]: Twin Headed Dragon
Wedge[P]: Beastmaster
Dijongenie[P]: SyllaBear
MiracleChip[P]: Chen
Swissbeatz[P]: Bristleback
Complexity:
coL.Fang: Lich
coL.ezy: Visage
coL.Throzz: Sand King
coL.Warr1ck: Bane Elemental
coL.Fear: Queen of Pain
This game started off fairly slow due to most of the lanes being evenly matched with no kills flying around for a good amount of time. Then in the top lane, JollyJoker gives up first blood while the rest of the Pandemic setup a middle flank that managed to kill all of Complexity heroes there. After this point, Pandemic went on a huge spree dominating the map control and making sure Complexity had nowhere to farm. At the same time as this, Pandemic managed to constantly push down towers. Swiss's Bristleback and Dijongenie's SyllaBear both got fairly stacked out with items and along with the rest of the team were able to push into Complexity's base fairly early. They also managed to eliminate a few barracks which eventually forced Complexity to throw in the towel. With less than ten kills the whole game, Complexity was utterly dominated which gave Pandemic a 1-0 advantage in the best of three series.
Player of the Map: Swissbeatz[P], Bristleback

Posted on Thu Mar 01, 2007 12:09 pmGame 2: Pandemic (Scourge) vs Complexity (Sentinel)
Pandemic:
JollyJoker[P]: Lich
Wedge[P]: Necrolyte
Dijongenie[P]: Pugna
MiracleChip[P]: Queen of Pain
Swissbeatz[P]: Chaos Knight
Complexity:
coL.Fang: Crystal Maiden
coL.ezy: SyllaBear
coL.Throzz: Twin Headed Dragon
coL.Warr1ck: Vengeful Spirit
coL.Fear: Slayer
After their dominating victory on the first map, Pandemic came into this game feeling very confident. It became apparent that perhaps Pandemic was too confident. In a brain fart, Team Pandemic ran a Scourge lineup that was easily countered by Complexity's standard Sentinel team. Early on not only were Pandemic's top and middle lanes dominated, but they also couldn't get a handle on Ezy's syllabear. This proved fatal later in the game as Pandemic lost battle after battle 4v5 while the Syllabear solo farmed and pushed into Pandemic's base. After battling for a good while Pandemic decided that there was no chance left for them and decided to forfeit and move on to the third game.
Player of the Map: Warr1ck, Vengeful Spirit

Posted on Thu Mar 01, 2007 12:14 pmGame 3 Allpick: Pandemic (Sentinel) vs Complexity (Scourge)
Pandemic:
JollyJoker[P]: Rhasta
Wedge[P]: Twin Headed Dragon
Dijongenie[P]: SyllaBear
MiracleChip[P]: Beastmaster
Swissbeatz[P]: Pugna
Complexity:
coL.Fang: Lich
coL.ezy: Viper
coL.Throzz: Queen of Pain
coL.Warr1ck: Vengeful Spirit
coL.Fear: Chen
For the tiebreak, CEVO has elected to use -allpick mode as the third map setting. This game showed off some interesting combinations and was a very close, hard fought battle between the two American teams. Early on the scores in the lanes were fairly even but eventually Complexity was able to take an advantage in kills and kept rolling with it. However, Pandemic was able to hold it together just enough to farm up enough to perform suicide runs on towers and barracks. Eventually Pandemic was able to get down two set of barracks in the Complexity base and was eventually able to distract Complexity into defending the last set while the throne fell.
Player of the Map: Mark "mastern00k" Torrez, Cheerleader
With the win, Pandemic.DotA establishes itself as the Upper Bracket champions in the CEVO Dota Opening Tournament. They will await the lower bracket to finish and possibly setup a rematch with Complexity. Team Pandemic has guaranteed itself no worse than second in what is the most prestigious DotA tournament to date. Stay tuned for more information on the Grand Finals and congratulations to both teams for an amazing set of games.

What's your problem? Are you using version TFT 1.20? You have to use it to watch the replay, then put 6.37 map on Maps/Download/DotA_Allstars_6.37

Do you guys realize what's the key of the victory on the three games? It's because their Syllabear. Both teams who use Syllabear always win. Do you realize that there's a trick that can make Bear's Entangle trigger more frequently?

@FF_PhoeniX
I recently used syllabear more frequently. I need to know the answer to your question. I'd really appreciate it if you can help me.

rumours had said that attacking with bear by clicking "a" and click on the target you wish to attack gives you a higher chance of entangling

Not true, it's just like saying tapping 123 in the fountain makes you regen faster. Hyperstone is your answer

And i thought there was some catch to it i didn't know. Yes attack speed items lets the bear entangle more frequently. Obviously.
