Gah - we had a dispute here, we got it down to 5 then we had to eliminate one... in the end we opted to accept the useless tank (but still well designed hero) in place of what was a very good, but somewhat unoriginal hero. (so yes, originality won)
but yeah, freaky close - keep making awesome ideas people.

September Challenge

First things first.
your hero will be based on this picture.

OMG creepy awesome swordsman!

but it gets better, one of your skills will be based on this mechanic...

to explain,
that huge red cross is where you are standing.
the green crosses are where you point the cursor and click.
you can click on any of those points and MORE.

multiple points are used in the picture to show that you can change the area of the spell.

the black lines are the resulting area of the spell ... or the trajectory of the projectile .
or both.

if you opt to use a projectile, there may only be one.
so naturally it acts like a boomerang and traverses a perfect circle.

where you click defines the diameter of the circle and thus the area.




only ONE ability needs to be based on this, although you can do more.

Er...so 3 have to be infront, and one to the side? All or 4 can be in any direction? Does it need to have 4 ranges or can it have any number of them?

Isn't that character Crow, from the Korean game series "War of the Genesis"? I absolutely love that game

What the heck, I'm going to base my hero on War of the Genesis.

if the green crosses are the points that ure suppose to click...


that means u have to click 4 times ?

or is it just the idea ?

can u just do like massive stun or silence in that AoE...or it has to be boomerangs...bcos ppl dont throw swords

By the way, does it HAVE to only be 1 projectile? I have an awesome idea containing multiples.

*ahem* I'm going to edit that so its easily understood. Well, relative to your description. Nevermind, editing THIS post to say Screw That Plan.

Guys, you click ONE spot. For example, a green cross in that image. If you aim for the green cross on the top, the projectile's path (or the spell's AOE) executes a perfect circle going through that cross. You do not click four crosses. And you are the red cross.

lol blarfles, it has thought behind it and some nice forced synergy.. that works.

people treat forced synergy like it is taboo... but really, it is quite epic if used correctly.

Ghost, it seems my definition of 'forced synergy' is kinda out of whack...

I thought it meant that it looked as though it was forced in that it really didn't fit the theme, and it was just there to make the hero play better/vise versa. Am I wrong?
